As the name suggests, they would be brought into the school by the girl at midnight, and they had to find all the dismembered body parts of the girl and place them in the coffin at the church to lift the curse.
However, until they helped the girl recover her body, she would chase them all night long, and a few of them would fall into an endless loop, forever stuck on July 5th. When Huizi heard this, she initially chuckled bitterly and joked, "Oh dear, does that mean I'll be stuck at 18 forever?"
But after saying that, she realized how absurd it sounded. Upon reflection, it was far from that; the girl's ghostly appearance was truly terrifying. Facing such a horrific pursuit every day was akin to living through a nightmare of being killed repeatedly. The pain during those killings felt all too real, and each recollection sent shivers down her spine. Surely, no one could endure such suffering every single day.
Thus, Huizi and five classmates reluctantly reached a consensus: every night at midnight, they would automatically embark on the task of searching for body parts. Yet everyone knew how daunting this was; not only did they have to search through the vast school for those parts, but they also had to constantly guard against the little girl's pursuit. One misstep could be fatal.
Soon enough, thanks to her luck, as another midnight approached and everyone was cautiously searching around the school, Huizi found an arm in a water tank in a corner of the campus alongside Xiao Shuai. The arm was submerged in water, its skin pale and swollen from soaking, looking particularly unsettling.
The two mustered their courage to retrieve the arm and wrapped it in a piece of ragged cloth, preparing to take it to the church.
Just then, the lights in the room began to flicker incessantly. The strobing light intensified the already eerie atmosphere. Following that, heavy footsteps grew closer and closer, as if the Evil Spirit had sensed their presence and was approaching them step by step.
Xiao Shuai's heart raced; he knew they were in a dire situation. He quickly lowered his voice and said to Huizi, "Huizi, you take the arm and find a chance to run outside. I'll distract the little girl; you must get that arm to the church!"
Huizi looked at Xiao Shuai with concern in her eyes but understood there was no time for hesitation. She nodded vigorously. Xiao Shuai gritted his teeth, grabbed a large bench nearby, and swung it toward the source of the footsteps with all his might, striking the girl squarely on her forehead.
The girl let out a piercing scream and immediately became furious, clawing her way toward Xiao Shuai. Seeing this, he turned and ran in another direction while deliberately making loud noises to draw her further away.
With Xiao Shuai successfully distracting the girl, Huizi seized the opportunity to escape. Clutching tightly onto the ragged cloth wrapped around the arm, she cautiously made her way toward the church.
But at that critical moment, perhaps due to overwhelming fear and anxiety, Huizi's legs began to weaken again. Her steps grew heavier with each stride as if she were expending all her strength just to move forward.
The little girl had been chasing Xiao Shuai with great enthusiasm when she suddenly heard a noise coming from Huizi's direction. Instantly, she turned her head, abandoning her pursuit of Xiao Shuai, and shifted her focus towards Huizi, moving as swiftly as the wind.
In that critical moment, Xiao Shuai stepped up once more. Gritting his teeth, determination shining in his eyes, he summoned every ounce of strength he had and lunged forward, grabbing the little girl by the throat.
Veins bulged on Xiao Shuai's arms as he exerted all his might in an attempt to subdue the girl, hoping to hold her just long enough for Huizi to escape.
Seeing this opportunity, tears welled up in Huizi's eyes. She knew she couldn't hesitate any longer. Biting her lip, she steeled herself and clutched the hard-won arm tightly before darting away like a gust of wind. As she ran, she glanced back at Xiao Shuai, her expression filled with worry and guilt.
Meanwhile, Xiao Shuai found himself locked in a struggle with the little girl. Ultimately, he could not withstand her extraordinary strength. With a painful grunt, he was thrown aside and crashed heavily to the ground, forced to concede defeat in the game.
Huizi dashed down the corridor in a panic, her heart racing as if it would leap from her throat. Sweat poured down her forehead in beads, soaking her hair and sticking it to her cheeks.
After defeating Xiao Shuai, the girl let out a sharp laugh that echoed eerily through the empty hallway. She quickly pursued Huizi with alarming speed, closing in on her.
Just when it seemed all hope was lost, Huizi spotted two other female classmates ahead. She shouted desperately, "Quick! Close the door! Close the door!"
Initially pale with fear, the two classmates managed to suppress their terror upon seeing Huizi's dire situation. As she rushed toward them, they joined forces and mustered all their strength to successfully pull down the rolling shutter door.
With a loud clang, the door slammed shut just in time to keep the little girl outside. The three girls leaned against the door, gasping for breath, their faces reflecting both relief and terror at having narrowly escaped.
However, just as they began to catch their breath, Huizi quickly grabbed one of her classmates' hands. Through the gap at the bottom of the shutter door, she had seen the little girl's small figure inching closer. Instinctively, Huizi wanted to pull her friend away.
But the little girl was incredibly strong; with a swift motion, she yanked both of them inside. Huizi and her classmate screamed in terror but found themselves unable to break free from the girl's iron grip.
Before long, a large pool of fresh blood seeped out from beneath the rolling shutter door, the bright red liquid slowly spreading, a sight that was both shocking and horrifying. At this moment, the two were officially declared out of the game.
The remaining female student witnessed this brutal scene, her legs trembling in fear as tears streamed down her face. Yet she knew she couldn't break down now. Gritting her teeth, she grabbed her arm and ran, praying in her heart that the little girl wouldn't catch up to her.
Fortunately, before the little girl could pursue her, she managed to slip her arm into the coffin. Just as she breathed a sigh of relief and turned to leave, the little girl appeared behind her like a specter. She felt a chill at her neck, followed by a sharp pain. In the end, she was clawed to death by the girl, her eyes wide open in terror and disbelief.
