The next day, more guests arrived at Muen's home.
At that moment, Anyuan was kneeling on the ground, measuring Muen's foot with a new wooden board, preparing to make him a pair of wooden clogs.
Muen's feet were somewhat rough; it was no surprise, considering he spent his days running through the mountains and forests, which likely made his soles even coarser.
The guest, witnessing such devoted care for his Beastman companion from a female, was filled with astonishment.
He stood a short distance away, one hand holding fresh flowers and the other a bag of Wild Fruits, marveling at the harmonious scene unfolding at the cave entrance.
Muen sensed another presence and glanced at the newcomer, pretending not to notice while continuing to enjoy Anyuan's attentive service.
"Are you making me some slippers?" After receiving a positive answer, Muen grinned widely.
The beastman with the flowers slowly approached.
The soft sound of footsteps caught Anyuan's attention, and she turned to see an unfamiliar face.
Anyuan set down the wooden board and looked at Muen with questioning eyes, asking, "Is this your friend again?"
"Anan, hello."
The beastman handed the flowers to Anyuan with a smile and said, "I just picked these wildflowers from the mountain today; they're as beautiful as you."
Fresh and beautiful flowers of various colors were haphazardly gathered together, exuding a warm, gentle, and lovely aura. The sweet fragrance of the blossoms wafted through the air, refreshing and delightful.
Anyuan's eyes curved with a smile. In this world devoid of adornments, aside from the sky, the flowers were the most beautiful decorations one could find.
He thought about placing the flowers in the cave, believing they could bring some life and color to his dull gray home.
His hand moved slightly, lifting into the air, but it felt as if a chill was slowly creeping up his spine.
He turned to look at Muen, who stood silently beside him, anger clearly burning in his eyes. He asked softly, "Is it not allowed to take them?"
Muen pressed his lips tightly together, silently conveying his disapproval.
"Alright, I understand. No meat and no flowers."
The beastman appeared somewhat shy, his features quite adorable. He then asked, "What about the fruits? They were just picked today."
After speaking, he lowered his head, blushing and unable to meet Anyuan's gaze. This beastman was truly charming; Anyuan couldn't help but wonder what species he belonged to as his curious eyes roamed over him.
The bright red Wild Fruits were held aloft by the cute beastman, but at that moment, the air suddenly grew colder, as if shrouded in a layer of frost.
Anyuan understood and sighed in resignation. "Alright then, we can't take the fruits either."
Then he smiled brightly at the adorable beastman. "Thank you for your kindness! We have plenty of Wild Fruits at home; you can take some back to eat!"
The Orc looked up, his face filled with disappointment and frustration as he gazed at Anyuan, then shyly disappeared from their sight.
Anyuan stretched his neck to look in the direction of the Orc and murmured, "How adorable! What kind of Orc is he?"
Muen's brows were nearly knotted in a tight twist, jealousy surging within him as he silently pondered: Is Anan praising someone else, a squirrel, Lynx, or some other kind?
While Anyuan continued to daydream, his head was suddenly yanked back by Muen. With a tone laced with irritation and possessiveness, Muen said, "You’re not allowed to look at others!"
The force was too much; Anyuan almost twisted his neck. Anger flared within him as he clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, saying, "Slippers, bring me my slippers. I’m going to show this Little Black Panther a thing or two."
