One of his arms was gone, the shoulder where it had been severed a gruesome sight, flesh and blood mangled in an irregular jagged pattern, as if it had been torn off with brute force. His other arm fared little better, twisted in the opposite direction, with bruises marking the skin that suggested it had been forcibly broken.
It was hard to believe what he must have endured prior to this moment.
