There was no way around it. The gap in Rank was not something that could be easily bridged. Time passed as they waited, second by second.
A minute had just gone by. No wonder Yelai was able to wipe out Second Squad. The Fifth Squad Captain raised an eyebrow.
During this minute, the commotion in the alley showed no signs of diminishing. Walls occasionally collapsed with a thunderous crash, and the roar of 【Gaze】 echoed through the air.

The only conclusion they could draw was that Yelai Sequence Rank was rapidly approaching 【Five】.
That thought did not linger for long. Time moved on to three or four minutes later.

A tremendous roar echoed through the air. This time, it wasn't just the Fifth Squad Captain and Uncle Zhou who were taken aback; even Zhang Yinlin wore a shocked expression.
The walls of the alley had nearly collapsed, and there were no other walls left to fall. As the dust began to settle, visibility improved, allowing them to finally discern the scene within and recognize each other's figures.
Amidst the haze, Yelai lunged at Gaze without hesitation, grabbing Gaze's foot and swiftly neutralizing Gaze's counterattack. With a powerful swing, Yelai hurled Gaze to the ground like Hulk smashing Loki in a Marvel movie.
Yelai slammed Gaze down repeatedly, causing splashes of water to erupt from the ground. The Fifth Squad Captain's eyes widened in disbelief. He recognized that the water splashing up was remnants from the earlier water wall.
However, he had no time to dwell on that; he was stunned by Yelai's display of strength, his expression betraying his shock. He remained dazed for several seconds before finally managing to speak.
"Yelai is Rank Five?!"
He saw clearly that Yelai's physical prowess was on par with Gaze, who was also Rank Five. Over this period, Yelai had not only held his ground but had even gained the upper hand.
Zhang Yinlin stood frozen in place. Uncle Zhou was speechless. The Fifth Squad Captain was astounded.
At that moment, they had ample evidence to conclude that Yelai was definitely not a Rank Four Sequencer.
Zhang Yinlin stared blankly at Yelai's figure amidst the dust. She felt somewhat lost. On that day when she faced Yelai, he had clearly held back significantly; he was actually a Rank Five Sequencer?
As this realization sank in, the dust gradually cleared away.
The obstructed view was finally clear.
Zhang Yinlin and the others could see Yelai and Gaze clearly now. Yelai appeared uninjured except for some dust on his body, while Gaze was in a tattered Sequence Combat Uniform, covered in wounds. It was evident who had the upper hand.
Zhang Yinlin felt a surge of joy at the sight, but just as their happiness began to swell, Yelai shouted, "Be careful!"
Gaze noticed the dust settling and raised an arm to block Yelai's approach. As he did, an eye suddenly sprouted from his raised arm. In that instant, Yelai's gaze locked onto Gaze's eye.
