Uncertain whether it was the sense of danger behind or the sound of footsteps drawing closer, the Small Orange Cat couldn't help but glance back. There stood Yelai, his eyes crescent-shaped with a smile that sent chills down one's spine, resembling a twisted demon.
"You don't think you can escape like this, do you? It's useless. No matter who you possess, I will find you," Yelai said with a grin, his voice dripping with malice.
He approached the Small Orange Cat, crouching down and extending his fingers to grab it.
The Small Orange Cat seemed unprepared for Yelai's immediate pursuit. Just as Yelai's hand was about to grasp it, the cat, which had appeared to be moving slowly just a moment ago, suddenly exploded into speed, darting away in an attempt to evade Yelai's grasp.
Clearly, Yelai had not made a mistake. This little cat was indeed possessed by Gaze. It shed its disguise and revealed the power of an Anomalous Entity ranked five.
Unfortunately, no matter how fast it was, it couldn't outrun Yelai. With quick reflexes, he caught hold of Gaze that had taken over the Small Orange Cat.
"Meow," Gaze called out to the three other small cats that were fleeing.
Instantly, the three sibling Small Orange Cats turned back.
Gaze had possessed one of the three little cats.
Did he want to use the same trick again?
Yelai glanced at the lifeless Small Orange Cat in his hand, then fixed his gaze on the three little cats and charged forward once more. His momentum was fierce as he rushed in. The three Small Orange Cats were once again frightened away. This time, without hesitation, he inhaled deeply, and Yelai pounced on one of the little cats.
It was different from before.
Seeing Yelai charging at him, the Small Orange Cat could only maintain its disguise for two seconds before it couldn’t hold it any longer. It bolted away, displaying a speed that was not characteristic of a little cat, an Unknown Horror speed.

Yelai laughed out loud, his smile reminiscent of Cthulhu, making his expression in the moment of【Gaze】 all the more terrifying.
