Regarding what Yelai said, he felt as if he understood, yet also seemed not to understand at all. Xiao Jun's inability to comprehend did not mean that Uncle Zhou and the others couldn't grasp it. Uncle Zhou, Squad Captain, and Zhang Yinlin were all taken aback.
It was true that there was little possibility of taming non-intelligent beings. However, according to Yelai, this situation did not apply to the non-intelligent Gaze. The Gaze was special; it lacked intelligence but had the instinct to disguise itself as various creatures, placing it in a very peculiar situation.
Suddenly, a thought struck Uncle Zhou and the others—they envisioned a computer. The Gaze was like a computer. It was well known that computers lacked intelligence yet could accomplish tasks that humans could do, such as calculations, drawing, shopping, and so on. These tasks only required humans to give the computer appropriate commands.
What Yelai wanted to do with the Gaze was similar. As long as they treated the Gaze like a computer and issued it the right commands, it could complete the corresponding tasks. The so-called commands involved having the Gaze mimic human behaviors and gestures, such as sitting down or greeting someone.
Zhang Yinlin stood on the ground, her mind racing with shock at Yelai's idea while also involuntarily recalling a past memory. It was when Luo Zhenxue was still in the Safe Zone. At that time, she had only recently met Luo Zhenxue and Yelai, and she didn't understand why Luo Zhenxue insisted on having Yelai devise plans when faced with powerful and tricky Anomalous Entities.
"Are you trying to give Yelai a sense of involvement? You don't want him to feel like a burden?" she had asked Luo Zhenxue back then.

She wasn't overly surprised by Yelai's suggestion. From that time Luo Zhenxue responded, she gradually understood the meaning behind his words through her subsequent experiences and interactions with Yelai.
As memories surfaced, a familiar voice echoed from not far away.
"Sit down!" Yelai continued to gesticulate insistently.
This time, Uncle Zhou and the Squad Captain did not try to dissuade him. Along with Zhang Yinlin, the three of them simultaneously pressed the button on their headsets.
They were in contact with the three Squads waiting outside Hu Family Village.
The communication connected.
"Wu Team, how's the situation on your end? Do you need support?" a team member asked anxiously.
Zhang Yinlin noted that they hadn't heard back from Xiaoli and the others since entering Hu Family Village, and the three Squads were growing increasingly anxious.
"Don't worry, Gaze has handled it."
"That's great! As long as it's taken care of... that injury..."
The team member hesitated to finish their thought. Injuries were always the most unwelcome topic for Sequence.
"Uncle Zhou, one person from our Squad died, but the others are unharmed."
Upon hearing the conclusion, the three members of the Squad were filled with astonishment.
When dealing with a powerful high-rank Anomalous Entity, injuries were inevitable. They had never imagined that Uncle Zhou and the others could return safely. In fact, in their estimates, even if Uncle Zhou and his team managed to suppress the Gaze, they would have to pay a heavy price. After all, they were not facing an ordinary Anomalous Entity, but one that had reached the rank of Anomalous Entity known as Gaze.
If only one person had been injured, they would have been surprised.
