"You're overpraising me," Yelai smiled. "Zhenxue and I are just a bit more affectionate than other couples. But is my Zhenxue really that famous? Even the Numbered Protection Zone knows her."
Yelai had learned about Luo Zhenxue's recent three years from Zhang Yinlin, but the understanding was not comprehensive. After all, Zhang Yinlin had been in the Safe Zone, so the information was somewhat one-sided.
It was certainly known; Miss Luo was quite a celebrity, and she had made quite a few headlines in the past year. As soon as Luo Zhenxue was mentioned, Yelai found herself engaged in lively conversation with everyone.
They shared numerous stories about Luo Zhenxue, and Yelai listened with great interest until one of the team members spoke up.
"Remember the Believer organization’s attempt to sacrifice the Numbered Protection Zone to the God Sequence? I heard that Luo Zhenxue was involved in coordinating efforts against the Believers."
Another team member chimed in, "Ah! I know about that. I heard there was a highly devout Believer involved who could even make contact with the God Sequence."
"Yes, that's the one! I heard Luo Zhenxue was a key player, taking on that Believer alone and helping other hunters thwart the conspiracy in the God's garden, ultimately killing or capturing all of the Believers."
Yelai was not unfamiliar with the Believers. They were a group of individuals who worshipped an Entity, abandoning their human identities and willingly descending into the ranks of Believers. Strictly speaking, they had detached themselves from humanity and were considered a non-human species by Sequence Scholars.
As for the God Sequence, it was Yelai's first time hearing about it. Even though it was his first encounter with this knowledge, it did not prevent him from recognizing the terror and danger associated with such an Entity—simply because it was labeled as a God Entity.
Those who bore the title of God Entity possessed powers capable of annihilating humanity; they were akin to deities from mythological tales. In those stories, gods were beings that humanity could not contend with. To them, humans were mere mortals, insignificant as ants.
In humanity's eyes, these entities transcended all realms—be it theology, science, metaphysics, or physics—they were supreme beings.
The Entity was the same.
"Is God the newly discovered Entity?" Yelai questioned.
"Yes, He is the Entity that was discovered two and a half years ago," Captain of Team Seven was about to explain to Yelai when the armored vehicle came to a halt.
They had arrived at Signal Point.
"We'll talk to Yelai after this is over; let's focus on the task at hand," he said as he got out of the vehicle.
Yelai nodded.
Rather than being curious about the Entity, he was more concerned about his rank in Gaze.
Immediately, he signaled for Gaze, who was possessing Husky, to get out of the vehicle.
Signal Point was not... Signal Point was brutal, but the Sequence Team here could handle it with ease. Yelai feared that the Entity might be eliminated before they could resist, so he hurriedly led Gaze into the cluster of holes.
However, he did not take the initiative to kill the holes; instead, he chose to leave the slaughtering to Gaze.
"Go and kill all the holes; I will assist you," Yelai commanded as Fear Domination was cast, controlling a Rank hole to come before Gaze.
Gaze was momentarily stunned.
In the next second, it opened its mouth, its sharp canine teeth combined with Unknown Horror's biting force aimed at the hole's Dead Point.
