Aside from the Sighing Sequencer, the other Sequencers were also observing Yelai. Had he tamed that Anomalous Entity? One of the Sequencers raised the question. No one answered him. Others were equally puzzled. Regardless of whether it was taming or not, at least that Anomalous Entity had a connection with Yelai; otherwise, there would be no reason for it to help Yelai out of trouble.
"Thank you, thank you, sir, you've helped us once again," Sun Chao said as he brought his mother and daughter before Yelai, his eyes brimming with gratitude. His daughter had been targeted by the Virgin, and he was prepared to lure the Virgin to an amusement park, willing to risk his life to kill the Virgin there. This was the only way he could deal with a Virgin ranked higher than him.
"There's no need to thank me; I'm just watching the show. If you want to express gratitude, thank it," Yelai replied, shaking his head and pointing at the Tongue Sequence Creature beside him.
However, in the next moment, the Tongue Sequence Creature also raised its hand and pointed at Yelai, mimicking his gesture and conveying the same message. This scene made the surrounding Sequencers' gazes flicker with intrigue.
They had seen many instances of taming Anomalous Entities before. It seemed that Yelai and the Tongue Sequence Creature were not in a tamed relationship; rather, they appeared to be communicating with each other. Could he possibly be from a mysterious Numbered Protection Zone? The Sighing Sequencer had previously speculated.
Communicating with an Anomalous Entity was entirely different from taming one; the former involved interaction, which was even more challenging than taming since Anomalous Entities typically viewed humans as food. One might wonder how it was possible to befriend and communicate with something considered food.
This led him to ponder whether Yelai was a Sequencer from the Numbered Protection Zone, especially since there were rumors that those from the Numbered Protection Zone could communicate with Anomalous Entities and many other astonishing tales.
While he was lost in these thoughts, almost deifying Yelai in his mind, Yelai himself was not idle. Grateful for Sun Chao's family, he waved his hand to decline their gratitude and chose to return to eating noodles and resting, not intending to get too involved.
Before leaving, he paused for a moment, leaving behind a reminder just like at the entrance of the amusement park.
If you want to leave Sequence Amusement Park alive with your family, it’s best if they become Sequencers. So far, there have been zero cases of ordinary people making it out alive from Sequence Amusement Park.
Sun Chao was taken aback for a moment, and when he regained his composure, he saw Yelai and the Tongue Sequence Creature turning to leave. He bowed deeply to Yelai again to show his gratitude.
"Let’s go, we should eat first," said Sun Chao.
His wife nodded, hesitating to speak: "Honey, that gentleman suggested—"
Upon hearing this, Sun Chao sighed, as if making a final decision.
"After we finish eating, I’ll take you to find the Anomalous Entity. Becoming a Sequencer isn’t that difficult; it’s just that no one ever makes it out alive. That gentleman was right."
As he spoke, he took out the Sequence Amusement Park Card, which bore a distinct stamp.
Surprisingly, their family had managed to enjoy one ride during this time and they all survived. While ordinary people might get lucky and finish one or two rides, surviving the amusement park is still incredibly difficult, Sun Chao murmured.
His parents were conversing while his daughter listened attentively. Upon hearing about becoming a Sequencer, she couldn’t help but glance towards Yelai, her beautiful eyes sparkling with hope. She wondered if she could become as powerful as that gentleman who was a Sequencer.
At the Sequence Amusement Park, in the snack street at the noodle shop, Yelai sat back down at the table. The Noodle was still there, untouched, and Yelai couldn’t help but look back at the dark kitchen in front of the counter.
"Is it because they know I went out to watch a show that they didn’t take it away?" he murmured softly.
There were two occurrences at the Sequence Amusement Park. Despite Xu Limin investigating and gathering quite a bit of information, it remains unknown whether Sequence Amusement Park truly exists.
No one has ever seen the management of the Sequence Amusement Park or any Anomalous Entity. Even ticket sellers and staff have never shown themselves; there are only hands that appear from nowhere.
Looking at the dark kitchen counter, Yelai couldn’t help but think: if only he could gain control over the management of Sequence Amusement Park, or even just a store here; wouldn’t that mean grasping the lifeblood of both the Anomalous Entity and the Sequencers? After all, if something goes wrong with either the Sequencers or the Anomalous Entities, this place is where they would be most vulnerable.
Once in control of this place, just this identity alone would be enough to make the Sequencer and the Anomalous Entity bow down.
With that thought in mind, Yelai returned to his seat at the table and looked towards the Tongue Sequence Creature.
