The Tongue Sequence Creature nodded, obeying Yelai's decision.
After a moment, Yelai glanced at the time. There was still some time left until the hour. I suggest we only enjoy one amusement ride a day, unless the ride is simple enough to consider doing another. So, just one ride a day, taking our time with it, sounds good, right?
The Tongue Sequence Creature nodded in agreement.
Then it's settled for today. It's noon now, and tomorrow at noon, we’ll meet at the entrance of the Bumper Cars, okay?
The Tongue Sequence Creature continued to nod, following Yelai's lead.
Alright then, that’s all for now. I’m going to head to the hotel to rest. Are you coming? Since we’ve chosen to cooperate, theoretically we should spend at least a day together; I can’t just keep saying "you" all the time.
Yelai pondered for a moment.
I hope you don’t mind me using my tongue?
With the Tongue Sequence Creature nodding in agreement, Yelai and the creature made their way to the hotel.
The Sequence Amusement Park was like a Disney World for humans, perhaps even more equipped than Disney itself. Besides places to eat and play, there were also accommodations available.
Following the map’s guidance, Yelai headed towards a building known as the hotel within the amusement park. This was a place specifically designed for tourists to rest.
Before long, Yelai arrived at the hotel building.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the air, drawing Yelai's attention toward the hotel entrance where Sequencers and Anomalous Entities were engaged in battle.
As they approached, it became evident that the closer they got to the hotel, the more tourists were involved in fights.
The reason was clear: tourists who could only stay at the hotel had all played at least one amusement ride—if not several—and this was why they were fighting.
Some tourists feared dying on the rides but still coveted the rewards from Sequence Amusement Park; they were eyeing those who had experienced multiple rides or even dozens of them.
By killing these tourists and seizing their Sequence Amusement Park Cards, they could effortlessly obtain cards stamped with a certain number of stamps.
It was quite a lively scene. Yelai watched the battle at the entrance with a smile on his face.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of the Tongue Sequence Creature beside him, which was intently staring at the tourists engaged in the fight.
"What's up?" Yelai smiled. "Do you want to join in and grab something?"
As he spoke, he stroked his chin while keeping his gaze fixed on the battle, leaving no one to know what he was truly thinking.
On the other side, the Tongue Sequence Creature showed no hesitation, lightly nodding its head to express its current thoughts. It indeed wanted to join in.
If it could snatch more Amusement Park Cards with stamps, it would speed up its progress significantly.
Yelai glanced at the Tongue Sequence Creature, fully understanding its intentions. He couldn't help but stroke his chin thoughtfully.
"You're not wrong for thinking that," he mused. "However, those tourists who can collect a lot of stamps surely didn’t just rely on luck to enjoy those attractions; that's only a small fraction of them. They are not lacking in skill, and attempting to snatch from them carries a risk of failure."
Just as he was contemplating this, perhaps due to the conspicuous combination of Yelai and the Tongue Sequence Creature, or perhaps because Yelai was already strikingly handsome amidst the crowd, he stood out even more in front of the tranquil hotel, exuding an air of indifference towards potential theft.
Moreover, once Yelai and the Tongue Sequence Creature entered through the hotel doors, fighting was prohibited inside; anyone wanting to steal would have to wait for Yelai to come back out.
Suddenly, thin threads—so fine they were nearly invisible—launched an ambush, wrapping around Yelai's limbs and body.
Yelai immediately sensed something was off.
Thin threads? Puppet Sequence?
He recognized the origin of the threads just in time.
At the same moment, four people emerged from the bushes on the right side of the hotel.
"Don't move if you don't want to die."
