"Sir, this Hazmat Suit features a fully sealed design that can withstand any toxic or harmful substances."
After Lu Xiaoran took off the Hazmat Suit, Kebotong stepped forward to continue his introduction. "As for its impact resistance, we have conducted tests. Ordinary tools and clubs cannot inflict any damage on this Hazmat Suit. Theoretically, it can even withstand bullets and small artillery."
Lu Xiaoran nodded as Kebotong continued to elaborate on the various details of the Hazmat Suit. Once he finished, Kebotong smiled and asked, "Sir, are you satisfied with the Hazmat Suit we designed? If there are no issues, could you please settle the remaining payment of nineteen million?"
At that moment, Lu Xiaoran feigned hesitation and shook his head. "It felt a bit ill-fitting when I wore it earlier. Also..."
He paused, trying to pinpoint a flaw in the Hazmat Suit, but unfortunately, its design was too perfect. After a long moment of thought, Lu Xiaoran finally spoke up. "It seems a bit aesthetically unpleasing. How about this: I'll think it over and pay in a couple of days."
Kebotong was somewhat speechless upon hearing this; he felt that Lu Xiaoran was nitpicking. "Sir, if you decide against purchasing this Hazmat Suit, we will not refund your deposit."
"Yes, I'm aware of that," Lu Xiaoran replied.
Watching Lu Xiaoran's departing figure, Kebotong sighed. It was clear that Lu Xiaoran was not planning to buy the Hazmat Suit after all. However, he wasn't too worried; keeping Lu Xiaoran's one million deposit meant that whether they resold the Hazmat Suit or kept it as their company's signature piece, it would be a guaranteed profit.
After leaving the Gu'an Division, Lu Xiaoran headed straight to the safe house on Dragon Ridge Mountain. Upon arrival, he used his Ability to replicate the Hazmat Suit he had just tried on.
After examining the Hazmat Suit for a while while holding it in his hands, Lu Xiaoran removed the positive pressure air respirator from the back of the suit. This device's only purpose was to provide oxygen, which Lu Xiaoran could replicate using his Ability; therefore, he had no need for it.
Once he removed the somewhat bulky respirator, the entire Hazmat Suit appeared more cohesive. Rather than being just a suit, it resembled a full set of armor, as if it had come straight out of a tokusatsu film.
Lu Xiaoran donned the Hazmat Suit and took a lap around the safe house. Indeed, without the respirator, the suit felt much lighter. After trying it on and feeling satisfied, he nodded and stored the Hazmat Suit in the wardrobe before leaving the safe house.
With only a few days left until the apocalypse, Lu Xiaoran had completed all necessary preparations.
He planned to use the last few days to replicate some things that could improve his quality of life in the future. Since Lu Xiaoran could only replicate things he had encountered before, the food he could currently replicate consisted of the home-cooked dishes he had eaten in the past. Although he didn't have to worry about starving, he couldn't pursue quality either.
Lu Xiaoran arrived at a Five-Star Hotel, ready to replicate some of the high-end dishes offered there.
"Sir, what would you like to order?"
As Lu Xiaoran sat at the table browsing the menu, a waitress approached him to inquire.
"From this to this. I want one of each dish."
The waitress's mouth dropped open in shock; she had never seen a customer order like that before. However, since he was there to spend money, as long as he paid, she had no right to dictate how he ordered. After confirming his choices several times, she noted down his order and left the table, heading toward the kitchen.
