Lu Zhengjun set up a defensive stance, retreating while striking, and just as he thought he might break through the encirclement, a sudden sharp pain shot through his thigh.
Looking down, he saw a long tear in his pants, about a foot long. The flesh on his thigh was also cut, blood gushing out and quickly staining his pants red.
Feeling a sense of dread, Lu Zhengjun raised his head to look ahead and saw a man standing before him, holding a gleaming knife. The blade was stained with blood; it was likely the same knife that had cut his thigh moments ago.

Wang Fugui squinted as he assessed Lu Zhengjun's family of three. From their clothing, he deduced they must have come from the city. Wang Fugui approached Lu Zihau directly, fixing him with a cold stare as he asked, "What are you three doing on this mountain?" He chose to question Lu Zihau because he had noticed the young man trembling in fear, his pants already wet—clearly terrified beyond measure.
Thus, when asked, Lu Zihau was unlikely to lie: "I... We came to find my cousin who lives here and wanted to stay at his house."
Upon hearing that Lu Zihau's cousin lived on this mountain, Wang Fugui immediately recalled the armored figure who resided in the safe house; he wanted to confirm if these two were indeed related. "Do you have any photos of your cousin saved on your phone?"
After hesitating for a moment, Lu Zihau turned to Lu Zhengjun and asked him to show Wang Fugui the video on his phone.
Wang Fugui took the phone and opened the video; scenes from Lu Xiaoran's safe house unfolded before his eyes.
Wang Fugui noticed that in the video, a Young Man had shown his face for a moment. It was clear that this Young Man was holding his phone and filming himself. Wang Fugui paused the video at that moment, staring intently at the Young Man, feeling that he looked very familiar.
