Lu Xiaoran removed the Protective Gear from his body and examined it carefully. Shaking his head, he muttered to himself, "This Protective Gear is no longer usable. I'll replicate a new one later."
The reason for needing a new set of Protective Gear was that Lu Xiaoran had noticed damage near the neck area. This damage had been caused during his earlier fight with Zhang Kaiwen, who had used Telekinesis Ability against him.
Wearing damaged Protective Gear would not only fail to provide adequate defense but could also result in injury from the sharp metal edges of the torn sections. Since he had plenty of time, replicating a new set of Protective Gear would be no issue; by the time Zhang Kaiwen and his companions arrived, the cooldown period would have surely ended.
There was no need to discard the old Protective Gear; it could still serve other purposes. Looking at the somewhat damaged gear on the ground, an idea sparked in Lu Xiaoran's mind.
He picked up the damaged Protective Gear and attempted to make it stand on its own. However, after several tries, he realized that without his body inside it for support, the gear couldn't stand upright. As soon as he let go, it would collapse like a puppet with its strings cut.
After thinking for a moment, Lu Xiaoran replicated some clear water and poured it into the opening of the Protective Gear. As he continued to replicate, the water quickly filled the gear to the brim. The crystal-clear water began to overflow from the opening near the neck.
Lu Xiaoran reached out and stirred his finger in the flowing water. In an instant, the water inside the Protective Gear froze into ice. He tried to release his hand, and this time, instead of falling over like before, the Protective Gear stood firmly like a statue.
Walking around the gear, Lu Xiaoran scrutinized it closely. After a while, he nodded in satisfaction and said, "It looks fine now; this will do."
The reason he wanted the Protective Gear to stand was that he intended to use it as a decoy to confuse his enemies. When Zhang Kaiwen and his group arrived and saw this gear, they would likely mistake it for Lu Xiaoran himself being inside.
At that moment, while they were distracted by their attack on the decoy, Lu Xiaoran could take advantage of their focus and easily eliminate them.

Just as Lu Xiaoran was about to put on the new Protective Gear, a message notification suddenly popped up on the phone he had been holding in his left hand. This phone belonged to the guard that Lu Xiaoran had just killed, and it had fallen to the ground. Lu Xiaoran had already used this phone to contact Zhang Kaiwen once before. The reason he kept it in his hand was so he could receive any messages sent by Zhang Kaiwen at any moment.
