In desperation, Zhang Kai dialed the guard's phone, but it rang unanswered.
What was going on? Just a few minutes ago, they had been in contact. Where could he have gone now?
As Zhang Kai pondered this, a Sneaky Man rushed up to him, panting heavily.
"Boss... we found several bodies by the elevator. You need to come and see!"
Zhang Kai was taken aback for a moment before quickly following the man, hurrying toward the elevator.
When he arrived, the sight before him made his eyes widen in shock.
Near the elevator door lay three charred bodies. The iron door of the elevator had been damaged, and through the gap, he could clearly see another body inside, also blackened as if it had been burned. The sight was chilling.

Zhang Kai stared at the bodies in disbelief, bending down to observe them closely.
Including the guard, he had sent four Flying Ability Users to the rooftop to pursue Lu Xiaoran. Now, four bodies lay on the ground, and an ominous feeling crept into his heart—these bodies might belong to those four Flying Ability Users.
Leaning closer for a better look, Zhang Kai still couldn't identify the bodies directly. After all, they had been subjected to a high-voltage Electric Shock, leaving them charred beyond recognition.
However, based on their clothing and personal belongings, Zhang Kai ultimately concluded that they were indeed those four Flying Ability Users.

Just then, as Zhang Kai was lost in thought, an Ability User not far from him let out a piercing wail.
Following the sound, Zhang Kai saw that the person had collapsed on the ground, blood pouring from their mouth and looking as if they were about to die.
"What happened? Who attacked him?" Zhang Kai asked urgently as he stepped forward to the others standing nearby.
"I... we didn't see clearly. He was just standing here, and then it seemed like something hit him. He flew a few meters before collapsing to the ground," one of them replied.
Zhang Kai approached the person lying on the ground and examined him closely. There was a massive dent in his left chest area, and not only were his ribs broken, but his heart must have also been ruptured. This man showed no signs of life at all. He lay motionless on the ground, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth.
"Everyone be careful! Lu Xiaoran might be hiding somewhere on this floor," Zhang Kai turned around and shouted seriously to the dozen or so people beside him.
Though he didn't know exactly what method had been used for the attack, Zhang Kai understood clearly that it was Lu Xiaoran who had just exploded this man's heart.
