Zhang Kaiwen used his teleportation ability and instantly moved to the next floor. As he turned around to assess the situation, he was startled to find Lu Xiaoran standing behind him like a ghost.
Earlier, Lu Xiaoran had copied Zhang Kaiwen's teleportation ability. Seeing Zhang Kaiwen teleport downstairs, he followed closely behind, using the same ability to appear right at his back.
When Zhang Kaiwen saw Lu Xiaoran smiling at him from behind, he was utterly terrified. He realized that not only could he not win, but he also had no way to escape. The only thing he could do now was plead with Lu Xiaoran for mercy.
Zhang Kaiwen bowed repeatedly, his voice trembling as he spoke, "Lu Xiaoran, we have no grievances in the past and no enmity in recent days. There's no need for us to fight to the death. If you let me go today, just tell me what you want. The Fog Mountain Sanctuary still has plenty of resources; if you want something, I can give it to you."
Lu Xiaoran shook his head with a smile and replied, "I don't want any of those things. Right now, all I want is your life."
With that, Lu Xiaoran picked up a nearby ceramic vase and threw it at Zhang Kaiwen. Since he also possessed telekinesis now, Lu Xiaoran knew exactly how far his ability could reach. Standing closer to Zhang Kaiwen made it easier for him to throw objects.
Before long, Zhang Kaiwen was drenched in sweat and increasingly overwhelmed. At that moment, Lu Xiaoran activated his invisibility ability, and in the blink of an eye, he vanished from sight.
Zhang Kaiwen was alarmed and hurriedly searched for Lu Xiaoran's figure. However, Lu Xiaoran didn't give him any time to react; Zhang Kaiwen soon felt an invisible force gripping his entire body tightly.

Zhang Kaiwen felt as if his throat was being constricted by this force, and he was on the verge of suffocating. Using abilities required concentration, and at this point, Zhang Kaiwen could no longer maintain his two abilities; he could only struggle helplessly in mid-air.
Lu Xiaoran increased the strength of his telekinesis until Zhang Kaiwen's face turned a deep shade of purple from lack of air. He couldn't breathe at all now. His eyes rolled back in his head, making him look terrifying.
Not long after, Zhang Kaiwen completely lost consciousness.
Lu Xiaoran released his telekinesis and casually tossed Zhang Kaiwen's lifeless body aside.
Lu Xiaoran let out a sigh of relief, pacing thoughtfully on the ground. Just moments ago, he had been so worried about Zhang Kaiwen escaping that he hadn’t had the chance to test the abilities he had copied from the more than ten individuals. He had rushed down the stairs in a hurry to chase after Zhang Kaiwen.
Now that he had finally dealt with Zhang Kaiwen, Lu Xiaoran was ready to test the abilities he had previously copied. He extended his hand, and a ball of fire immediately ignited in his palm. With a swift motion, he flicked his hand forward, sending the flames shooting out several meters ahead.
It seemed that after the earlier confrontation, this fire ability's attack range was greater than before. Lu Xiaoran nodded in satisfaction. He then turned around, preparing to test his Physical Enhancement ability.
With a running start, he dashed toward the staircase.
Boom!
Lu Xiaoran launched himself into the air and delivered a powerful kick to the stairs above.
