Shen Qingyue's eyes turned red, tears welling up in them. She quickly took out a bottle of Healing Pill from her pocket, poured one out, and placed it in Chen Li's mouth.
"Brother, I'll take you to find the main group."
Shen Qingyue helped Chen Li up and scanned their surroundings for an escape route.

The surrounding beasts seemed to have been provoked and charged toward them. The mentors and seniors who had been with them were now isolated and nowhere to be seen.

Chen Li gritted his teeth against the excruciating pain, grabbing Shen Qingyue's hand. With a swift strike, he knocked aside a beast blocking their path and continued to run deeper into the mountains.
Staying here meant certain death; only by venturing into the depths of the mountains could they hope to find a glimmer of survival. Even with the main force, this was their only option for escape.

Amidst the chaos of the Beast Tide, the two struggled to dodge the beasts' attacks, unknowingly crossing the boundary into a darker part of the mountains.
Before them, the forest was shrouded in darkness, and a thick black mist enveloped the air around them.
"What is this place?"
Shen Qingyue looked at the black mist, a wave of unease and tension rising within her.
"I'm not sure," Chen Li shook his head, having sensed something unusual for quite some time. He noticed that those beasts that had relentlessly pursued them suddenly halted as they approached the black mist, unwilling to take another step forward.
Clearly, no matter how dangerous it was inside, at least they could temporarily escape the frenzied beasts behind them.
"Forget it, let's just go in!"
Chen Li pulled Shen Qingyue and plunged into the black mist.
Roar!
Behind them came the frustrated roars of beasts, but none dared to step into the black mist. Gradually, silence fell behind Chen Li and Shen Qingyue.
After traveling a distance, they realized that visibility was extremely low; they couldn't see their hands in front of their faces. Even holding hands, they could barely make out Chen Li's silhouette.
"It's so dark here."
Shen Qingyue clutched Chen Li's arm tightly, her voice trembling slightly.
Chen Li chuckled softly. He hadn't expected that Shen Qingyue, who usually feared nothing in her past life as an Empress, would show such vulnerability now.
"Don't be afraid; I've got your back!"
Chen Li squeezed Shen Qingyue's hand reassuringly. Though she found this warmth somewhat unfamiliar, she nodded silently, feeling a bit more at ease in her heart.
The two of them groped their way forward through the black mist, unsure of how long they had been moving. Suddenly, they both halted, almost simultaneously coming to a stop.
Shen Qingyue felt her feet give way beneath her, nearly gasping in surprise, but Chen Li was quick to grab her wrist.
"There’s no path ahead," Shen Qingyue said, her face pale and her voice trembling slightly as she stared into the dark expanse before them.
As the mist around them slowly dissipated, they were confronted by a sheer black cliff. The abyss below was unfathomable, like the gaping maw of a colossal beast waiting to devour anyone who dared approach.
On either side of the cliff, the black mist shrouded everything, leading who knows where, resembling a dark river stretching endlessly to the left and right.
"It seems we've taken a wrong turn," Chen Li said with a bitter smile, his tone tinged with helplessness.
Standing at the edge of the cliff, they felt incredibly small, as if they could be swallowed by the boundless darkness at any moment.
"What do we do now?" Shen Qingyue asked, losing her composure.
The situation was truly dire. Her brother was injured, her Vital Energy was nearly depleted, and dizziness washed over her. They had become separated from their main group and stumbled into such a bizarre and dangerous part of the Azure Wind Mountain Range.
If misfortune had limits, they were currently experiencing an overwhelming accumulation of it.
Chen Li shook his head and released his Divine Soul to sense the surrounding environment. The black mist enveloped everything; who knew if they would encounter any beasts lurking nearby?
He paused for a moment before continuing, "Moreover, I feel that the Spiritual Energy here is at least a hundred times denser than outside. We should stay here for now and recover our strength."
With Chen Li's words, Shen Qingyue felt a sense of reassurance. She nodded in agreement without arguing further.
They found a relatively flat spot and sat down cross-legged.

As their techniques operated, the surrounding Spiritual Energy became more turbulent, as if summoned by some force, rushing eagerly into Shen Qingyue's body.
Just as they were fervently absorbing Spiritual Energy, two dim red lights suddenly flickered in the dark void of the cliff.
The red lights seemed to carry an unusual allure that made it impossible to look away.
Then, an indistinct voice echoed through the void: "There’s hope for these two; they’re doing quite well."
