The Little Demon Emperor was a descendant of the Nine-Tailed Fox, purchased by the Old Demon from a mysterious figure in a black robe. At that time, the Little Demon Emperor was still swaddled in its cradle, yet it already possessed the level of a demon king, indicating its noble and pure bloodline. 0

The Old Demon recognized this trait and planned to use the Heart-Cutting Evil Technique to further enhance the Little Demon Emperor's power before seizing its demon core. Although this approach required time, the benefits were substantial. 0

Firstly, the side effects of the Evil Arts were significant; by acquiring strength indirectly, the repercussions would only affect the Little Demon Emperor. Secondly, the process of the Evil Arts was painful, and due to the peculiarities of demons, those with higher bloodlines had a greater chance of success. Thirdly, devouring a Demon Emperor's demon core could enhance one's demonic qualities. The Little Demon Emperor was naive and had never undergone training, making it less resistant to such an act. 0

Qi Xiaomian, upon understanding this, asked, "Who was that figure in black?" 0

Sang Qingxiao recalled, "The person was cloaked in black robes and wore a black veil over their face, keeping their head lowered so that even their eyes were concealed. However, their voice was quite clear; it might have been a disguise." 0

Qi Xiaomian then inquired about what they planned to do with the Little Demon Emperor. "Dispose of it? How could you say such a thing about such an adorable little creature?" 0

Adorable? 0

Following Sang Qingxiao's slightly indulgent gaze, Qi Xiaomian spotted a half-demon creature. From the front, it appeared to be an innocent and exquisitely delicate child about two or three years old—plump and fair with large, tear-filled eyes peeking at them curiously. 0

From behind, it displayed characteristics of a Fox Demon: a pair of fox ears lay flat on either side of its head, and a fluffy tail wrapped around its lower body. Counting roughly, there were four tails—three long and one short—pure white in color but tinged with reddish-orange at the tips. 0

It was an exceptionally beautiful little fox. 0

"Why is it half-demon?" Qi Xiaomian asked. 0

"It hasn't had any elders guiding it in cultivation," Sang Qingxiao explained. "In demon clans, those with higher bloodlines are given more attention by their elders. With proper guidance, this Little Fox Demon could learn to transform between human and demon forms within months; if exceptionally gifted, perhaps even within days." 0

As Sang Qingxiao spoke while observing the Little Fox Demon’s movements, she noticed it avoiding their gazes. In an instant, she swiftly picked up the little creature and playfully tossed it into Qi Xiaomian's arms. 0

Qi Xiaomian locked eyes with the Little Fox Demon. It looked momentarily dazed but then pretended to be oblivious to its situation. However, its trembling body betrayed its fear. 0

Amused yet helpless, he said to Sang Qingxiao, "Aren't you afraid I might eat it?" 0

Before he finished speaking, the Little Fox Demon trembled even more violently. 0

"Eating demons usually leads to losing one's sanity; you wouldn't do that," Sang Qingxiao remarked with interest as she watched them. "Interacting with it will benefit you; getting accustomed to its allure will help you control yourself when encountering high-bloodline demons in the future." 0

"That's a valid point." 0

Qi Xiaomian nodded, deliberately reaching out to touch the Little Fox Demon’s ears, smoothing its back fur, and playing with its tail. He continued until the Little Fox Demon let out a wail, crying out loud. He laughed heartily a few times, saying, "Oh, little one, you bite me, but I won’t hold it against you. I’m just giving you a little pat, and yet you act so wronged." 0

Once the Little Fox Demon had cried enough, Sang Qingxiao stuffed a sugar cube into its mouth. As the sugar cube slowly melted in its mouth, the cries abruptly stopped, leaving it in a daze. 0
