Qi Xiaomian received the news first. Hearing footsteps, he turned to look, and in the dim candlelight, he saw Sang Qingxiao, still unadorned, understated yet poised. 0

"Just in time. You can read people's memories, right? With so much evidence, this person still refuses to confess. Can you help me search for any other solid proof?" 0

Sang Qingxiao glanced at the person Qi Xiaomian was pointing to. Beneath the bloodstains, it was vaguely recognizable as Huang Hai. A human's constitution is not as strong as that of a demon; using methods meant for demons on a human could lead to him becoming a fool or worse—he might even die. 0

"Is it really that serious?" 0

Sang Qingxiao shot him a look. 0

"Then let's put that aside for now. By the way, let me introduce someone: Yong Huai, the head of the Demon Catching Sect in The Office of Censors, also responsible for the Demon Catching Sect in Jingjing City." Qi Xiaomian gestured toward the man closest to Huang Hai. 0

Sang Qingxiao had noticed him earlier. With his help controlling Huang Hai, they could proceed with the interrogation smoothly. 0

He had a face that was honest and upright, with clear eyes. He was at the Spirit Master Realm, third tier—a decent level of strength. 0

"Miss Sang, I've long admired your reputation," Yong Huai said, bowing slightly in greeting. 0

Sang Qingxiao quickly avoided his gesture. "Lord Yong is too polite. If you heard about me from Huang Hai, it probably wasn't anything good." 0

"I have my own judgment," Yong Huai continued courteously. "What Miss Sang did was not wrong. If something happened to Huang Hai and there’s a vacancy, I wonder if Miss Sang would be interested?" 0

"I prefer to stick to my Small Tavern," she replied. "However, I heard that the Demon Subduing Institute has plans to enter society; you might want to ask them." 0

"Oh? Is that true?" 0

Sang Qingxiao nodded. "Give it a try. If you mention that I'm here, they might be more inclined to come." 0

The two exchanged pleasantries again before Sang Qingxiao turned to Qi Xiaomian and stated her purpose: "I came to ask you for someone." 0

"Who?" Qi Xiaomian asked with curiosity. 0

"I'm short a cook. I heard there's a great chef at Fragrant Pavilion, especially known for their One-Pin Divine Chicken; reservations are already booked out for half a month." 0

Qi Xiaomian chuckled. "You certainly know how to pick them." 0

He stood up and walked over to Sang Qingxiao, whispering, "How about we trade him for your talisman?" 0

Sang Qingxiao nodded. "We can discuss the terms." 0

"How much is another matter." 0

"I'll lead you there." 0

Qi Xiaomian exchanged a glance with Qi Shuo and immediately understood where Sang Qingxiao intended to find the person she was looking for—at which cell. 0

The layout of the prison was quite complex, with winding paths that took a considerable amount of time to navigate before they finally stood in front of the cell. 0

The figure inside had their back turned to them, appearing thin and hunched in the far corner. 0

"Tu A Mo," Qi Shuo called out. 0

There was no response. 0

Qi Shuo called again, two more times, but still received no reply. 0

"Sir, I'll go in and bring him out," he said, but Sang Qingxiao stopped him and shouted towards the figure's back, "Misha." 0
