After saying that, he kept groaning. Whenever someone asked him a question, his groans grew louder.

On the way back, they reached a fork in the road where Qi Xiaomian planned to part ways with the others. After greeting Liang Shangshan, they decided to take a detour to Yezhou City. However, there had been a Great Fire there earlier that morning.
"That's fine; we'll go take a look. If we can't get in, we'll just head back home," Qi Xiaomian said.
Liang Shangshan continued to remind them, "I've arranged for people to keep watch outside. This morning, we discovered charred marks on the grass surrounding Yezhou City—something that has never happened before. I'm worried that the Great Fire might have spread beyond the city; you all should keep your distance."
The group thanked him for the warning. Sang Qingxiao thought for a moment and then asked about an individual.
"Do you know Qiu Zizai, the Demon Catcher from Jingjing City? Has Liang Family Head ever seen him?"
Liang Family Head shook his head.
At that moment, Su Songhua stepped forward. "Miss Sang, I have seen him. He was heading out of the city that day, and I haven't seen him since."
Sang Qingxiao frowned. "Was he going towards Yezhou City?"
"No," Su Songhua shook his head firmly but hesitated before adding, "Is something wrong? I know some things about him; if it's urgent, I can share a few details with Miss Sang. If not, I wouldn't want to overstep."
Sang Qingxiao explained that Yong Huai had sent Qiu Zizai to handle matters in Yezhou City and that they hadn't received any news from him in over half a month.
Su Songhua sighed. "I suspect he might be dealing with family matters."
"Family matters? Isn't he a lone wanderer?"
Su Songhua pulled Sang Qingxiao aside and whispered, "I learned this by chance: Qiu Zizai is a nickname he chose himself; his surname is Fifth, but I don't know his full name."
"The Fifth Family?" Sang Qingxiao asked. "Isn't that a hidden Demon Catching Family? Though not well-known, their strength is undeniable. Even Yong Huai's Yong Family has to show them some respect."
"Yes," Su Songhua confirmed. "I've heard they're quite traditional and have many rules at home. Someone like Qiu Zizai wouldn't fit in well; at around Ji Qingqing's age, he ran away from home multiple times after being caught and brought back several times."
On my way to Yezhou, I saw a carriage not far from here bearing the emblem of the Fifth Family. This led me to speculate that he might have been captured by his family again. I can only hope that he is not dead in the Great Fire of Yezhou City.
As I got closer to Yezhou City, the temperature continued to rise, though not as noticeably as it did in the graveyard, remaining within a bearable range for the human body.
