The Silly Beast, as the name suggests, is simple-minded and lacks independent thought, yet possesses formidable strength. If one can tame it and make it their own, it becomes a thoughtless but excellent helper.
You can command it to go west, and as long as you don’t tell it to stop, it will keep moving forward, undeterred by swamps, mountains of blades, seas of fire, or any other dangers that could threaten its life. It will persist until the moment of its death, refusing to relent until given a new command.
Old Vine reflected on this, expressing a sense of nostalgia. It had been many years since he last encountered such a creature. He recalled that the last time he saw one was shortly after he had gained consciousness; he couldn’t even count how many years had passed since then.
He had thought that such beings were relics of the past, long extinct. To his surprise, he was able to see one again. Xiao Ye recognized its scent immediately.
As for the Silly Beast, its lifespan is not short. The one seen today is young and robust, moving with ease and showing no signs of injury. This indicates that its lifespan is still long.
It seems unlikely that this creature is acting on its own; there is probably someone behind it directing its actions.
