Qi Xiaomian followed her closely, while a few others hidden not far behind hurried to keep up. Under the guidance of the Enchantress, they passed through three mechanisms and soon arrived underground. The air was indeed cool down there, but Qi Xiaomian felt a lingering heat due to his impatience.
Mei'er attempted to make advances toward him several times. He skillfully dodged her attempts, insisting that they should focus on the task at hand. He noted that this place seemed somewhat different from when they had entered last time. In reality, there was no significant change; it was just that some items were slightly misplaced. The Enchantress narcissistically thought that Qi Hao must have remembered these subtle changes because he cared for her deeply, though as a man, he kept everything bottled up inside and found it hard to express.
The Enchantress was eager to share her life with him and began to explain the layout of the facilities in detail. This was also the purpose behind Qi Xiaomian's earlier comments; he had dropped many hints in his words, prompting the Enchantress to speak more and more until she had revealed everything about the underground area. When she finally handed the medicine to Qi Xiaomian, he let out a sigh of relief, glad that they could wrap things up.
He chuckled, "I never expected my father would find me a demon as a stepmother. If this gets out, the Qi Family might be scorned by everyone."
"Does the matriarch of the Qi Family know about your existence? And what about my foolish Princess? Is she aware of you?"
He dropped his facade, letting go of the pretense he had been maintaining.
The Enchantress stood frozen in shock. "You... you are..."
"Qi Xiaomian, the unfilial son of the Qi Family," he introduced himself, having long since shed the label of unfilial that had been placed upon him.
"You!"
As she recalled her recent flirtations with him, anger and embarrassment surged within her. "You pretended to be your father to extract information from me!"
