As everyone faced the imminent threat of being buried under the earth-shattering attack of the Star Beast, the situation grew increasingly dire. 0

Suddenly, a cannonball descended from the sky, striking the Star Beast with pinpoint accuracy, causing it to plummet from the air. Lin Yao's eyes lit up at this sight, and she quickly alerted everyone through the temporary channel, "Everyone, our reinforcements have arrived! Let's dodge and escape for now!" 0

While warning others to flee, Lin Yao hurriedly activated her mech and left the combat zone. Following the cannon's strike, several massive starships soon appeared in the sky, blocking out the sun and exuding an overwhelming sense of pressure. 0

The Star Beast, seeing these colossal vessels even larger than itself, defiantly raised its head and let out an enraged roar towards the heavens. Its high-pitched voice resonated powerfully through the starry sky. However, this defiance only invited a barrage of cannon fire from the starships. 0

Despite its impressive defenses, this Star Beast was only at level five or six and could not withstand the firepower of a starship cannon with its flesh alone. After enduring several hits, it was left battered and bruised, quickly retreating underground to escape. 0

As the Star Beast fled, the starship cannons could no longer target it directly and began dispatching transport ships to deliver mechs down to the battlefield. Due to various factors, the mech technology in the Yunmeng Star System was still unable to produce space mechs; thus, all mech combat required transport ships to deliver them. 0

However, by this time, the Star Beast had already used its earth-based abilities to escape far away, causing them to lose their advantage in battle. Lin Yao felt that she had achieved her goal of stalling for time; as soon as the warship arrived, she retrieved her mech and distanced herself from the battlefield. 0

Su Rui soon found his way over and observed that the mech squad was scouring the planet for traces of the Star Beast with evident disdain. "The mech technology on Yunmeng Star is truly pathetic," he remarked. 0

"And this is all thanks to your alien influence!" Tang Zhi chimed in from somewhere nearby, unable to hold back his complaints during Su Rui's evaluation. 0

"Are you tracking me? Why do you always show up wherever I am?" Su Rui said irritably as he glared at Tang Zhi. 0

Tang Zhi raised an eyebrow and retorted mockingly, "Why would I follow you? You should know better than anyone." 0

"Are you out of your mind? That young master on the second floor of the base is not only smuggling but also selling your so-called prodigies from Yunmeng Star! You're ignoring those crimes and instead focusing on me, who is trying to help you!" 0

"Those matters are being handled by others; I just need to keep an eye on you!" Tang Zhi crossed his arms calmly. 0

"You’re insane!" Su Rui fumed but found himself at a loss for how to deal with him. 0

Between the two youths' argument, Lin Yao chose not to participate. Instead, she utilized the remaining potency of a high-grade healing potion to activate her wood-based abilities, repairing her body that had sustained further injuries. Although wood abilities were not as effective as healing powers in treating others, they were quite good at promoting self-repair. 0

During her healing process, the search for the star beast continued, but it was proving to be quite challenging. The earth properties of this desolate planet were too suitable for the star beast's concealment. With no progress in locating the star beast and for the safety of those captured youths, the Yunmeng police decided to arrange for their evacuation. 0

The ships used for evacuation were small, with each capable of carrying a maximum of twenty people. There were over a hundred youths who had been deceived or captured, along with the injured and those targeted by human traffickers. They also had to be cautious of hidden star beasts launching surprise attacks, making the evacuation quite hectic. 0

"Lin Yao, you’re injured. Do you need me to arrange for your evacuation first?" Tang Zhi asked politely, recognizing her significant contributions. 0

Lin Yao did not answer immediately; instead, she turned to Su Rui. "Do you want to go first?" 0

"I don't want to be in the front line," Su Rui refused. 0

"Then I'll go with you," Lin Yao decided. 0

Su Rui looked at her in confusion. "Why?" 0

"I have so many debts; how could I leave you behind? What if you think I ran away with the money?" Although this was said jokingly, the real reason was that Lin Yao was worried about Su Rui being alone. With so many people around, she couldn't bear the thought of leaving him unprotected. If something happened to him during this time, she would feel guilty. 0

"Ha! As if I’m afraid you’ll run away. You're just an injured person," Su Rui teased back. 0

Before he could finish his sentence, a sudden change occurred during the evacuation. A massive head burst through the ground, toppling several ships in its wake. 0

"Well, now no one is going anywhere," Lin Yao remarked grimly. 0

The mech squad quickly moved in to attack the star beast, but after it had overturned the ships, it continued to burrow underground without hesitation. The mech squad found themselves utterly helpless against it. 0

"This star beast doesn’t want us to evacuate," Su Rui said in disbelief after a moment of silence. 0

Lin Yao nodded in agreement. "As long as there are people here, it feels a connection. It probably thinks it can't let us leave completely, which is why it deliberately overturned the ships." 0

For a moment, both of their expressions grew serious. 0

Tang Zhi watched as the spaceship was overturned, and many people were injured. He couldn't sit still any longer. "Su Rui, come help me save them!" His tone was urgent and not very pleasant. Su Rui felt uncomfortable hearing this and directly refused him, "I won't!" 0

Lin Yao gave Tang Zhi a gentle pat and reassured him, "Don't be anxious; I'll go with you!" After saying that, she took the lead and set off. Perhaps it was her calm and steady aura that quickly helped Tang Zhi regain his composure. He stopped paying attention to Su Rui and hurriedly followed Lin Yao. 0

Once they left, Su Rui found it hard to stay behind alone, so she reluctantly followed them. 0

When the star beasts appeared, many people were waiting to board the spaceship. After it flipped over, several individuals were trapped underneath. The rescue team had no choice but to organize a mech squad to help lift the spaceship, making it easier to rescue those trapped below. 0

The ship was heavy, and those pinned beneath were nearly crushed to a pulp. If it weren't for Yunmeng's medication being somewhat effective, with just one vial keeping them alive, it was likely that a third of the people would have perished in this incident. However, this only stabilized their condition; without prompt further treatment, survival would be difficult for these individuals. 0

Yet, if they continued to send spaceships to transport the injured, there was a fear that the star beasts might cause further chaos and inflict additional harm on the wounded. The situation was quite tricky, leaving the police in a dilemma. 0

Tang Zhi went into the inner area to assist while Lin Yao and Su Rui stayed outside to help with first aid and administer medication to those with minor injuries. They didn't fully understand the current situation and had little interest in learning more about it. 0

Of course, Lin Yao never expected that two fleets would arrive and that they would still come looking for her when trouble arose. 0
