In front of the dilapidated base, a temporary rescue square buzzed with tension as a spaceship suddenly shot up into the sky, rapidly ascending towards the starship hovering above the planet. 0

As the spaceship soared, everyone on the ground watched intently, silently praying that it would not be attacked by the star beasts. Another assault would delay their rescue indefinitely. 0

Just as the spaceship was about to break through the atmosphere, a star beast burst forth from the other side of the planet, its massive jaws wide open, swallowing the spaceship whole. The military ship above managed to fire off a few rounds from its cannons, but by the time they hit, the star beast had already vanished upon landing. 0

Panic erupted among those below, their cries filled with fear and a hint of despair. Fortunately, the police had organized themselves well, quickly sending personnel to calm the crowd. 0

Tang Zhenghe and his command team remained focused on executing their plan. "Do we have a location on the star beast?" 0

"It's moving too fast; we can't pinpoint it." 0

"Focus on locating it. I’ll give you five minutes at most." 0

"Understood, Commander." 0

Yet, the more they tried to track it, the faster it seemed to flee. Just when everyone thought it would never stop, it finally came to a halt. Three minutes had passed. 0

"Keep monitoring. If that star beast remains stationary for one minute, send its coordinates to the starship above." 0

"Yes, Commander." 0

The waiting was excruciating. One minute felt like an entire year. 0

Finally confirming that the star beast was not moving, Tang Zhenghe ordered for the coordinates to be sent to the starship so they could adjust their cannon's aim and prepare for an attack on command. 0

The Saturn Beast's defenses were incredibly strong, and this barren planet favored its element, giving it a significant advantage. The Yunmeng police were heavily burdened and faced numerous constraints. 0

To minimize casualties and eliminate the star beast swiftly, they devised a coordinated strategy that combined both internal and external efforts. 0

A mech pilot was swallowed by a star beast, and from within, he fired a compressed high-energy cannon to make a swift escape. Simultaneously, the starship above unleashed a barrage of firepower. Caught in the crossfire, the star beast would be severely injured, if not killed. 0

However, the mechs of the Yunmeng police were insufficient for operations inside the body of the star beast. Upon hearing that Lin Yao piloted an advanced mech, the Yunmeng police sought her assistance. 0

At that moment, Lin Yao was busy applying first aid to an injured person when Tang Zhi led a man who appeared to be a leader over to her. The leader was quite polite; he first greeted Lin Yao respectfully before saying, "Hello, Lin Yao. I am Tang Zhenghe, the commander of this rescue operation." 0

Lin Yao was taken aback for a moment before replying, "Hello." 0

"I've heard that you have an advanced mech?" Tang Zhenghe asked tentatively. 0

"This mech isn't mine," Lin Yao quickly denied. "It's borrowed from Su Rui." 0

"I see. Could you help us communicate with Comrade Su Rui? We would like to borrow this mech for our operation," Tang Zhenghe requested. 0

Su Rui was nearby and naturally heard this. Before Lin Yao could speak, he proactively said, "Consider this mech traded to you. You can handle it as you wish." 0

Tang Zhenghe nodded at Su Rui with a gentle demeanor and then turned back to Lin Yao. "What do you think about this?" 0

Lin Yao forced a smile and replied, "Commander Tang, it's not that I don't want to lend it. It's just that this mech has already recognized its master; others probably can't operate it." 0

Tang Zhenghe was clearly caught off guard by this outcome and momentarily didn’t know what to say. 0

Seeing this, Lin Yao quickly added, "If you really need this mech for something, I can pilot it to help." 0

"But this task is too dangerous; we can't let a student like you take such risks." 0

Su Rui interjected coolly from the side, "If you had other options, you wouldn't be looking for a student to borrow a mech, would you?" 0

Though his words were harsh, they were true. 0

Tang Zhenghe remained calm and nodded in acknowledgment. "We have a solid plan that requires an advanced mech. However, it's still too risky for Lin Yao to participate; I’ll look into borrowing another mech from someone else." 0

"If you're thinking of borrowing from those bodyguards, I suggest you reconsider. Their mechs may not be advanced ones that recognize their masters, but they are still gene-bound; you won't be able to use them either," Su Rui bluntly shattered his last glimmer of hope. 0

With no mechs available for borrowing and no chance of persuading them to risk their lives for Yunmeng, Lin Yao felt conflicted. She was willing to help within her capabilities but wasn't ready to sacrifice her life for the cause. 0

"Commander Tang, could you share your plan with me? I can assess whether I can assist by piloting the mech. If it involves risking my life—" 0

"No need for that," Tang Zhenghe interrupted firmly. "With so many of us here, there's no way we would send a child like you into danger." 0

Tang Zhenghe quickly relayed the plan they had discussed with the police to Lin Yao. 0

"Lin Yao, don’t feel too much pressure. If you really think it’s dangerous, you can refuse. We can come up with another plan," he said, though it was clear that this was just a formality. 0

In the rush of the moment, the plan they proposed was indeed the one with the least sacrifice and the highest efficiency. Coming up with another solution would not be easy. 0

The danger factor of the plan was undeniably high. Lin Yao took a deep breath as her mind began to race with thoughts. After pondering for a long while, she finally turned her gaze to Su Rui. 0

Su Rui crossed her arms and looked at her warily. "What are you doing? You’re not thinking of sending me to my death, are you?" 0

"No, I just want to ask you for something." 0

"What is it?" 0

"A mini space transmitter." 0

With the mini space transmitter borrowed from Su Rui, Lin Yao felt more confident about her survival and agreed to participate in the police's plan. 0

She boarded an automatically ascending spaceship alone. After being swallowed by the star beast, she quickly activated the locator. As the gastric fluid began to dissolve the spaceship's exterior, she swiftly donned her mech suit, preparing to escape as soon as a hole was created in the spaceship by the dissolving fluid. She planned to find a dry spot to set up the high-energy compression cannon that the police had entrusted to her. 0

The original plan was for Lin Yao to use her mech suit to break open the star beast's belly and escape from within once the cannon was set up. However, this move significantly increased the risk. By borrowing the mini space transmitter from Su Rui, she could skip this dangerous step and directly teleport out from inside the star beast. 0

She had agreed with Tang Zhenghe that they would initiate a military strike six minutes later. 0

However, plans often change unexpectedly. The spaceship melted at an alarming rate; within a minute, a large hole had formed at its bottom. The yellowish gastric fluid began to seep through the breach and spread into the interior of the spaceship. 0

Fortunately, this star beast seemed to have not eaten for a long time; aside from a slightly pungent smell that stung her eyes, its stomach odor was not as unbearable as she had imagined. 0
