Hearing his tone suddenly turn serious, Lin Yao instinctively wanted to refuse. But Bo didn’t give her a chance to decline. He continued, "Academician Zheng has had a hard life. He has dedicated half his life to the scientific research of Yunmeng Star, without family or friends, and he doesn’t live for himself. I truly cannot bear to see him so devoted to others while appearing so humble in front of a young person like you."
As he spoke, Bo's voice choked up slightly. "You seem quite close to Mr. Maris, so I hope you can help our Academician when it's convenient for you, so he doesn’t have to feel so lowly."
Lin Yao listened to his heartfelt words but didn’t rush to respond; instead, she fell silent for a moment.
