At this point, Bai Qisheng paused before speaking again. "To be honest, I really admire the change in your character. With someone as outstanding as you as the captain, I feel reassured."
Lin Yao shook her head and sighed. "Ah, you’re too early to feel reassured. I’m in a difficult position. I didn’t even know that her application file had been withdrawn."
Bai Qisheng's expression faltered for a moment. "Miss Lin, this isn’t your fault; it’s mine."
"It certainly has to be your fault as well. After all, besides her, you are the only one who could have withdrawn Bai Zhenzhen's file."
Withdrawing an application file can only be done by the applicant themselves or their immediate family. This authority was initially granted to prevent candidates from making hasty decisions in a state of mental confusion.
Bai Qisheng was caught off guard by her straightforwardness.
"There are some hidden circumstances regarding this matter that I can’t discuss with you. However, I will give Zhenzhen an explanation."
"What kind of explanation? Will it allow her to continue at the Ability Academy?"
"No. The education sector is fair and serious; Zhenzhen will have to reapply."
"Can you also allow Miss Bai Youyou, who took her spot, to reapply?"

"After taking the special entrance exam, can she still enroll like in the regular exam?"
"Of course."
"Then... if Zhenzhen can enroll smoothly this year, I will feel less guilty."
"Your words sound like a weasel wishing a chicken a happy new year."
"How can you speak like that? I'm still her father; I would never wish for her to have a hard time."
"Well, that’s hard to tell," Lin Yao mocked.
"You!" Bai Qisheng was furious and stood up to leave. Before he left, he explained, "Whether you believe it or not, Zhenzhen's file was not withdrawn by me!"
"Can you swear in your capacity as the president of the Bai Group? Swear that you are not the one who withdrew Bai Zhenzhen's application to the Ability Academy?"
"What nonsense are you talking about? Both Zhenzhen and Youyou are my daughters; how could I do something so outrageous?"
