The uniform of the Command Department was a white thermal suit, designed in a very formal style that made the wearer look quite spirited. Lin Yao handed the potion to Yao Beiluo, urging him to let the senior drink it. 0

She expected Yao Beiluo to hesitate, but to her surprise, he was quite ruthless. Gripping the struggling senior's chin, he poured the potion down his throat without a second thought. 0

Once the potion was administered, Lin Yao untied the senior. He immediately clutched his throat in panic, trying to vomit up the potion he had just swallowed. 0

"Senior, don't be nervous. This potion is a slow-acting one; it's one of the few antidotes created by my classmates from the Alchemy Department. If you take us to the registration office and help us sign up, I’ll give you the antidote!" 0

The senior struggled for a while, tears and snot streaming down his face, but he still couldn’t make himself throw it up. He looked utterly defeated. "What kind of effect does this potion have?" 0

Lin Yao pulled out the vial and examined it. The label indicated its effects, but she couldn’t quite remember if it was supposed to make one eloquent or courageous. "I only remember that it takes ten minutes to kick in. Should I call someone to confirm?" 0

"N-no, I’ll take you to the registration office." The senior finally gave up his struggle. 0

At about five foot seven, Lin Yao appeared a bit short next to the generally taller military academy cadets who were around six feet tall, but she still stood on her tiptoes and patted his shoulder. 0

The senior seemed to know when to yield. "If you had done this earlier, we wouldn’t have had to go through all this trouble!" 0

Frustrated by her attitude, the senior took deep breaths to suppress his irritation. 0

Wang Jincheng watched Lin Yao's bold actions in stunned silence for a moment before hurrying to catch up with them as they followed the senior. 0

As they moved forward, more people trailed behind them. The senior’s expression changed slightly; he ultimately said nothing but quickened his pace. 0

"This is the registration office," he announced at last, stopping in front of an office door. 0

"Then take us inside," Wang Jincheng urged. 0

The senior seemed to be bursting with pent-up frustration and snapped back, "What’s wrong? As a military academy cadet, you don’t even have the guts to enter an office?" 0

"What kind of guts does it take to enter an office? I'm just worried that you might have some ulterior motives and set us up!" Wang Jincheng retorted angrily. 0

"In the end, you're just scared," the senior continued taunting him until Lin Yao stepped forward and knocked on the door. 0

Lin Yao wanted to stop Yao Beiluo, but she ignored their arguments. She knocked on the door and called out, "Teacher, I’m here to register. May I come in?" 0

"Come in!" 0

Lin Yao pushed the door open and stepped inside. She saw a teacher sitting upright at a desk. 0

"Teacher, I am Lin Yao, a graduate from the Conducting Department, here to report!" Lin Yao stepped forward and saluted crisply. 0

The teacher looked Lin Yao up and down, a barely noticeable smile flickering across his face before he quickly composed himself. 0

In a gentle tone, he said, "Student Lin Yao, please present your admission notice." 0

Lin Yao quickly retrieved her admission notice from her neural interface and projected it in front of him. 0

The teacher took out a device and scanned it. Instantly, Lin Yao's admission notice transformed into a campus webpage displaying her registration status: "Registration Complete. Welcome to the First Academy of Music, Lin Yao!" 0

"Congratulations, Student Lin Yao!" 0

Lin Yao hurriedly retracted the projection and thanked him before asking, "Thank you, Teacher. However, I would like to ask if it's still possible to change my major?" 0

"Change your major?" The teacher looked puzzled. 0

"Yes, I want to switch to the Combat Department." 0

Before the teacher could respond, Wang Jincheng interjected anxiously, "Lin Yao, why would you change majors? Aren't you happy in the Conducting Department?" 0

Lin Yao glanced at the expressions of those present; aside from Yao Beiluo, both the teacher and Wang Jincheng wore disapproving looks. 0

"I just want something simpler," she replied. 0

Wang Jincheng was about to argue further when Yao Beiluo held him back. 0

"Teacher, who should I consult about changing majors?" 0

"We haven't had such a case before. You can ask the head of the Conducting Department," the teacher advised. 0

Lin Yao nodded in gratitude and turned to leave. 0

Once outside, Wang Jincheng angrily shrugged off Yao Beiluo's grip. "Why did you stop me? Do you really think someone as decisive as her will listen to others' advice?" 0

Wang Jincheng understood that well enough; he just wanted to express his frustration. "Next! Who’s coming up?" 0

Wang Jincheng was in a bad mood and quickly squeezed in front of Yao Beiluo. "Teacher, I’m Wang Jincheng from the Conducting Department, here to report." 0

"Students, please maintain order and do not cut in line," the teacher replied. 0

Wang Jincheng didn’t dare to argue with the teacher; he could only glare at Yao Beiluo resentfully before stepping back behind him. 0

After finishing his registration and stepping outside, Lin Yao noticed that several upperclassmen had gathered around that senior. 0

Seeing their numbers, she wisely explained, "Senior, it’s not really a prank drug; it’s just a regular whitening agent." 0

Among the group of seniors, the most prominent one stepped forward and said, "After hearing Xie Zheng explain the situation, I guessed as much." 0

This senior was quite perceptive. 0

His tone was sincere, though it was hard to tell if he was genuinely complimenting her or not. He glanced at the person who had been pranked behind him, took a deep breath, and gracefully said, "Thank you for the compliment, junior. My name is Tang Zhixuan. May I ask your name?" 0

Tang Zhixuan. 0

The name reminded her of a boy she had encountered on the desolate star when she had been deceived; it seemed like part of a series. Perhaps when they were getting acquainted, he had simply omitted a character from his name. 0

"I’m Lin Yao." She wondered if Senior Tang was still looking for trouble. Shaking her light brain in her hand, she declared proudly, "But I’ve already registered! That means our battle is over!" 0

Tang Zhixuan chuckled and teased, "I thought you were braver than that. Turns out you’re afraid of retaliation!" 0

Lin Yao disagreed firmly, "What are you talking about, Senior Tang? Being brave is one thing; being afraid of retaliation is another. After all, I'm here to study, not to fight!" 0

She was quite good at arguing her point. "Don’t worry; we’re not going to retaliate against you just because we lost," Tang Zhixuan assured her before leading his group away with an imposing air. 0

Lin Yao remarked to herself, "I just don’t understand. If they lost, why act so high and mighty?" 0

Yao Beiluo emerged just then and asked upon seeing Tang Zhixuan and his group leave, "What did they say?" 0

"The one in front said his name is Tang Zhixuan." 0

"Tang Zhixuan?" 0

"Yes, do you know him?" 0

"He comes from the Tang family of Yanghe Star and is one of the top students in the Conducting Department." 0

Yanghe Star is one of the five major strong stars in the Yunmeng Star System; its economic and military strength is only slightly inferior to that of Yunmeng Star. 0
