Lin Yao's expression turned serious as she replied firmly, "You can rest assured about that. I will definitely look after my teammates!"

Noticing the atmosphere had become a bit tense, Wang Jin quickly changed the subject. "Third Uncle, you must have seen the exam monitoring as well. How did our squad perform overall?"
"Not bad!"
"Our captain is quite clever and resourceful, isn’t she?"
Wang Sanquan laughed and patted his shoulder. "You don’t need to defend your captain; I won’t do anything to her!"
With that reassurance, Wang Jin felt more at ease when introducing the other teammates to Wang Sanquan. "This is Meng Xingchen, the second son of Meng Pharmaceuticals."
"And this is Zhang Feng. Don’t let his goofy appearance fool you; he’s already at level five in physical skills."

When introducing Yao Beiluo, he fidgeted a bit before saying, "This is Yao Beiluo, the eldest young master of the Yao family, known for his prestigious lineage in Yunmeng Star!"

The monitoring room was filled with numerous small screens and had an entire wall dedicated to a large monitor. Wang Sanquan immediately asked them, "Which team do you want to watch? Just tell me and I'll have someone switch it for you."
Meng Xingchen still held a grudge over Guan Xiangfei's incident and immediately said, "Third Uncle, I want to watch Guan Xiangfei's team. Could you please switch it for me?"
"Sure!"
With Wang Sanquan's command, the monitor switched to show their desired feed. They expected a typical projection but were taken aback when everything around them changed instantly; they found themselves once again in front of the base's live footage.
As everyone was about to exclaim in surprise, Tang Mingde remarked, "Your holographic technology has advanced so quickly! I remember three years ago there was still a sense of screen flickering. Now it feels like we're right there in person."
Wang Sanquan proudly replied, "Of course! We wouldn't dare use this technology for your students' exams otherwise."
Only then did the Mingguang team realize how impressive the Expeditionary Army's holographic technology was; even spectators could experience such an immersive feeling. After exchanging a few compliments between the two big shots, they saw Guan Xiangfei leading his team in a frantic escape.
As they struggled to locate the enemy, the squad's attempts to evade were chaotic, leading to a swift reduction in their numbers. With each loss, panic spread further among them. Under the pressure of life and death, one member completely broke down, crouching on the ground and screaming, "Ah! I can't run anymore! I won't run anymore!"
At that moment, as the team leader, it was crucial for Guan Xiangfei to pause and quickly calm his teammates. However, to everyone's surprise, he merely glanced back at his comrade, saw him surrounded by a hail of bullets, and without a moment's hesitation, continued to sprint away frantically. He seemed solely focused on saving himself, abandoning the one who had lost control.

Emerging from the monitoring room, Tang Mingde's expression was grim as he coldly remarked, "Is this kind of person what you have inside? Is this who has seized power?"
Lin Yao's leadership abilities had been observed by the principal throughout. He thought that if Lin Yao were leading them, the situation would certainly be different.
The members of the Mingguang Squad exchanged glances, feeling a chill in the air. However, Lin Yao remained unfazed by the principal's stern demeanor and calmly replied, "If it were a real battle, I would have advised them to retreat immediately. If I had known it was a holographic exam, I would have selected suitable partners and organized our combat strategy. Unfortunately, this holographic technology isn't realistic enough; I noticed anomalies. I wanted to explore with them together, but who knew they would be so reckless? Her calmness only deepened Tang Mingde's frown as he listened. Lin Yao chuckled lightly and added, "Principal, they're still just students from Yata Tower; they always think they're invincible. If they don't face some setbacks, how will they learn? I'm sure after this profound lesson, they'll understand their own capabilities."
Tang Mingde opened his mouth as if to say something but found himself at a loss for words. He simply cast her a deep glance before falling silent.
