Thinking of this, Lin Yao stood up excitedly. "Let's go find something."
"Find what?" Yao Beiluo followed her, puzzled.
"Just looking for a place where the elemental crystal purity is high and more concentrated."
Yao Beiluo, unlike the other curious youths in the group, didn’t delve deeper into her words. With that, he began to help her busily.
The two quickly pinpointed a location and started digging frantically. Those at the Body Technique level had a natural advantage in mining, working faster than professional mining robots. Of course, aside from Lin Yao, there were no other Body Technique level individuals around to assist with the mining.
With her strength alone, she excavated a long tunnel from the elemental crystal vein. In contrast, Yao Beiluo, at the Body Technique level, could only assist by collecting the elemental crystals she unearthed and storing them in his spatial pouch.
Lin Yao teased him about it: "Are you planning to keep these for yourself or hand them over?"
Yao Beiluo cleared his throat and replied seriously, "In the Wild Star, personal gains from adventures belong to the individual."
Lin Yao smiled and patted his shoulder. "Good. Keep it up. When we get out, I’ll give you more."
Yao Beiluo nodded with a smile. "Alright."
The deeper they dug, the harder the elemental crystals became, making excavation increasingly difficult. Yao Beiluo found himself unable to dig any further. As the hardness of the elemental crystals increased, their mass also grew heavier; it was quite laborious for him just to store them in his spatial pouch.
Lin Yao was still able to dig but had to take breaks frequently. Eventually, when it became too challenging to continue, she took out her corroded Meteor Sword to assist her.
Even with that help, after a while, Lin Yao found herself unable to continue digging. However, this only strengthened her belief in her hypothesis.
Yao Beiluo couldn’t help but advise her, "Lin Yao, take a break. It’s not like we’re short on time."
"I feel like we’re close to finding what we’re looking for," Lin Yao replied reluctantly as she began rummaging through her spatial pouch in hopes of finding something suitable for mining.
Unfortunately, the elements she purchased from the market were far inferior to those she had obtained through signing in. Even the Meteor Sword couldn't make a dent in them, let alone anything else.
Sitting down helplessly, Lin Yao stared blankly at the elemental crystal in front of her. When she first learned that this was an elemental crystal, she had been overjoyed. Now, however, she felt a bit troubled. She couldn't dig it out, and absorbing it seemed impossible too.
Suddenly, a thought struck her—yes, she could try absorbing it! She picked up a piece of green-hued elemental crystal and began to absorb it, only to be astonished by the pure elemental energy contained within.
A cool and pure energy flowed out from the elemental crystal, coursing through the veins in her hand and circulating throughout her body before returning to her mind. It was completely free of impurities and obstacles, flowing smoothly like silk.
Lin Yao felt herself becoming light-headed from this pure energy. It was far more effective than any potion or crystal for enhancing her abilities. She sensed that with this method of cultivation, combined with her past life experiences, she could elevate her powers from beginner to advanced level in just three to five years, reaching the heights she had achieved in her previous life.
"Yao Beiluo, you should try cultivating with this high-purity elemental crystal," Lin Yao said as she pried off a piece of richly golden elemental crystal and handed it to him, strongly recommending he give it a shot.
Without hesitation, Yao Beiluo accepted it and began to absorb the energy. However, the moment the energy entered his body, his expression changed dramatically, and he quickly cut off the absorption.
Lin Yao was startled by his reaction. Once he opened his eyes, she anxiously asked, "What happened?"
"It's just that the energy is too pure; I can't absorb it," Yao Beiluo replied while using his abilities to soothe his slightly painful meridians.
"How can that be? Your ability level is slightly higher than mine. It doesn't make sense that I can absorb it while you can't."
Yao Beiluo looked puzzled as well. After contemplating the differences between himself and Lin Yao, he speculated, "Perhaps the strength of the absorbed energy is related to our physical abilities?"
There was no way to confirm this at the moment, so they both accepted it as such.
Since Yao Beiluo couldn't absorb it, Lin Yao continued to select wood elemental crystals for absorption while using the Meteor Sword to dig. This method indeed proved to be faster than simply digging before.
Moreover, during the process of cleansing the elemental crystals, Lin Yao discovered that once the amount she absorbed exceeded her body's threshold, an intervention would occur automatically.

Then Lin Yao was able to see a mass known as "Elemental Energy" from the unified space.
After careful observation, she realized it was pure elemental energy, highly refined and ready to replenish her abilities at any time.
Thus, Lin Yao became even more reckless in absorbing the elemental crystals.
At first, Yao Beiluo was worried as he watched her absorb the crystals without restraint, but as he noticed she showed no adverse reactions, he could only watch in increasing numbness and astonishment.
Lin Yao noticed his astonished gaze but trusted his character and understood his nature; he would only ponder in his heart and never voice his thoughts. This gave her the freedom to absorb even more without hesitation.
Finally, after a mixture of absorption and excavation, on the third day, Lin Yao broke through.
Looking at the crystal at the end of the tunnel that seemed to gather all colors, both of them were left speechless in shock.
Lin Yao compared it with the "Elemental Crystal Mother" in the unified space and found that aside from differences in size and shape, they were quite similar.
She stepped forward and touched the colorful tree-shaped crystal.
Expecting it to have a hard texture like the elemental crystals, she was surprised to find it was soft and jelly-like, incredibly delicate.
"Yao Beiluo, come over and feel this; the texture is different. It’s really interesting," Lin Yao called him over eagerly.
"Is it safe?" Yao Beiluo hesitated, having seen how soft the crystal mother was when she touched it; he was afraid of damaging it and felt uncertain about reaching out.
Lin Yao grabbed his hand and placed it on the crystal mother. "Don’t worry; it’s not that easy to break."
Yao Beiluo was startled by her sudden action and felt his ears flush from root to tip as he processed what had just happened.
Lin Yao completely missed his reaction and leaned closer to him, asking, "So? The texture really is different, right?"
"Yes, it’s different," Yao Beiluo replied softly, his ears turning even redder.
If they hadn’t been so close, Lin Yao probably wouldn’t have heard his response at all.
She didn’t think much of it, assuming Yao Beiluo was simply astonished by the texture of the crystal mother as she continued to hold his hand and squeezed the crystal a couple of times.
After her curiosity was satisfied, Lin Yao began to observe her surroundings again.
The crystal mother could only condense elemental energy into elemental crystals, but where did this elemental energy come from?
