"Floating Stone?"
This was the first time Lin Yao had heard of such a name. Produced by a reliable system, it was bound to be a quality item. Without hesitation, she chose to sign in.
Upon signing in, she received Floating Stones.
To her surprise, there were quite a few of them. They didn’t look particularly precious, yet they consumed a sign-in point, leaving Lin Yao puzzled about their true value.
She opened the notes to take a look.
Floating Stone (a type of mineral that can negate gravity).
Negate gravity?
No wonder everything around was flat, except for this small hillside; there was indeed an anti-gravity mine down below.
On a planet filled with gravity, having an anti-gravity mine was akin to the saying that where there is poison, there must be an antidote within ten steps.
She felt that this mine would surely be useful and decided to remember the location of the hillside. However, with everything around being flat and only one hillside within several kilometers, it should be easy to find.
As she was observing her surroundings, suddenly a figure rushed over like the wind from afar, swaggering towards Lin Yao with his head held high. "Miss, I see you’ve been lingering here for quite some time. Have you found something good? Why not share it with me?"
Under the weight of gravity, Lin Yao hadn’t noticed the man lurking from afar at first, but once he got closer, she immediately recognized him.
But didn’t Dongzi say to be careful of being robbed when finishing work in the evening? Why was this guy breaking the rules and trying to rob her now? Was he really that desperate?
"I'm sorry, but I just started looking for things; it's all junk so far. I haven’t found anything valuable."
The man looked at her skeptically. "You’ve been here for so long with that strange expression; you must have found something. Stop wasting time and hand it over."
"I told you I haven’t found anything valuable; why don’t you believe me?" Lin Yao said lazily while preparing to take action.
"Hmph, refusing a toast only to drink a punishment." The man moved in closer just as a voice rang out from a distance. "Zhang San, how come I see you robbing someone again!"
Lin Yao turned her head to see a group approaching from afar. They stood tall and walked in unison, exuding an air of righteousness.
Tang Zhengsu, I haven't offended anyone from your Eastern Team, so why do you keep staring at me? Zhang San, who was part of the group, felt quite indignant.
I’m not staring at you; it’s just that every time you bully someone, it happens right under my nose. I can't stand seeing injustice, so I feel compelled to intervene.
Lin Yao looked up and felt that Tang Zhengsu seemed somewhat familiar. However, she had heard in passing that the Eastern Team had been on Black Porcelain Star for over twenty years, so it was unlikely she would know him.
Hmph! Tang Zhengsu, I hope you don’t fall into my hands in the future! The man threw down a parting remark and fled in a hurry.
Get lost!
Such a threat was nothing to Tang Zhengsu. Seeing the man scared off, he turned to Lin Yao and said, "Little girl, although there are unspoken rules against robbing others while searching for supplies, there are still plenty of people who don’t follow the rules. It’s best if you stick with your team and don’t wander off alone."
He was upright and earnest; in Black Porcelain Star, he could be considered a rare good person. Even though Lin Yao might not necessarily need his help, she still sincerely thanked him. "Mr. Tang, thank you for your help!"
Tang Zhengsu waved his hand dismissively. "No need." Then he quickly took a few steps to catch up with his team.
After this brief encounter, Lin Yao decided not to linger any longer and began to sweep the area. In her current zone, low-level resources were out of reach, high-level ones were unappealing, and mid-level resources were uncertain in terms of whether she could defeat them. Overall, her search for supplies went quite smoothly.
After two days of searching in the mid-level area, she felt she had gathered enough information about potential trades. By the third day, Lin Yao thought she could afford to take a little risk and explore areas with higher pressure.
At this point, the outer regions had already been thoroughly searched by others. Without hesitation, Lin Yao headed toward the high-pressure zone.
As she reached a certain point, she felt the pressure on her body increasing significantly; soon enough, even moving became difficult. She tried to channel all her energy—both her physical skills and abilities—finally managing to advance a few thousand meters.
However, at this point, she could barely stand. Yet there was an upside: under such heavy pressure and with her energy circulating through her body, both her physical skills and abilities showed remarkable improvement.
She felt a surge of joy and thought that once she found the Mingguang Team members, she would definitely bring them here for training; they would surely level up two ranks in three years.
For now, wanting to continue exploring, she summoned her mental energy to protect herself. With such gravity pressing down on her, it felt as if her entire mental force had solidified; she didn’t have to worry about her mental abilities exceeding her physical limits and could use them with confidence.
After reaching an area where her physical skills were at level ten and sensing that she had nearly hit her personal limit, Lin Yao decided not to go deeper and began sweeping through this range instead.
After a brief search, a loud commotion reached her ears from a distance, sounding as if a fight was breaking out. She didn’t want to get involved, but then she heard a voice say, “Tang Zhengsu, you always like to meddle in others' affairs. This time, it’s finally my turn to meddle in yours.”
She could hear the voice of the speaker but not Tang Zhengsu’s. Concerned that this enthusiastic person might be in trouble, Lin Yao hurriedly ran toward the sound.
As she got closer, she saw that the situation with the Eastern Squad was indeed dire. They seemed to have discovered an injured high-level exotic beast and were likely trying to subdue it. However, they had sustained considerable injuries and were running low on energy. Just as they were about to land the final blow, another team suddenly appeared—one that held a grudge against them and was looking to take advantage of the situation.
This left them in an awkward predicament. If they captured the beast, they risked being ambushed by their rivals; but if they didn’t deal with the beast first, it would turn its full wrath on them.
Fortunately, they seemed experienced in such situations. Without hesitation, at their leader's command, four members of the squad coordinated seamlessly and launched an all-out attack on the beast. The remaining five stayed back to guard against any surprise attacks from the other team.
As the beast fell, the rival team indeed made their move. However, it was clear that the Eastern Squad had already expended considerable energy, and the five defenders couldn’t withstand all of the incoming attacks.
Seeing that the members of the Eastern Squad were about to be injured, Lin Yao didn’t hesitate. She quickly conjured a mental shield for them and then boldly attacked the rival team.
The Eastern Squad was momentarily stunned but quickly regained their composure and worked together with Lin Yao to drive off their attackers.
Tang Zhengsu recognized Lin Yao and was somewhat surprised. “Little girl, you’re so powerful! Did I meddle too much that day?”
