"What do you mean, Shazhu?" Li Damao looked at Shazhu with a grim expression.
"Just what I said. Once I finish with you, hurry up and leave. I've got to serve the next meal, don’t waste my brother's time!" Shazhu replied smugly, glancing at Li Damao and his companions. "I did it on purpose. What are you going to do about it?"
This wasn’t the first time Shazhu had played tricks on them, and Li Damao understood that causing a scene in the kitchen wouldn’t help. They could only glare at Shazhu before leaving.
What frustrated Shazhu was that after the meal ended, Xu Damao didn’t show up! Xu Damao wasn’t foolish; he knew Shazhu’s temperament and that he had just offended him. Why would he go back to Shazhu’s territory and invite trouble?
So, Xu Damao went to eat at another cafeteria instead!
With half an hour left until the end of the workday, Shazhu strolled out of the steel factory with his lunchbox in hand. The security team was already used to his early departures.
"Zhao, look who’s here! That bastard Shazhu is leaving early again!" one of them said.
"Everyone get ready! As soon as Shazhu enters the alley, we’ll make our move!"
The speaker was Zhao Damao and his three companions. Today, they had been humiliated by Shazhu, and their hunger only fueled their resentment towards him. They decided to take matters into their own hands. Knowing that Shazhu often left early, they took an hour off work and hid in an alley he had to pass through.
Unaware of the trouble awaiting him, Shazhu hummed a tune as he entered the alley. Suddenly, he felt something tighten around his head, followed by a sharp pain shooting through his body!
Experienced as he was, Shazhu quickly realized he had been ambushed!
"Damn it! Who dares to put a sack over my head?"
Zhao Damao and his friends didn’t say a word; they just beat up Shazhu quickly before fleeing.
Shazhu ripped off the sack and looked around frantically—where did everyone go?
"Damn it! I will find out who dared to do this to me!"
He never considered that it was Zhao Damao and his gang since he had never been bullied like this before.
Sneaking back home, he looked in the mirror and cursed at his bruised face. How could he show himself to anyone like this? He took off his shirt and saw even more bruises covering his body!
Just as he was about to find some ointment for his injuries, the door to his house was kicked open with a loud bang. Immediately, he heard Jia Zhangshi’s furious voice: "Well, well, Shazhu! You dare come back? I’ve been without a home for just a couple of days, and you’ve sent my precious grandson to the hospital!"
After her ranting, Jia Zhangshi finally noticed the shirtless Shazhu standing there in shock. She paused for a moment before shouting again: "Well, well! You dare act like a rogue? Someone come here! Shazhu is acting like a rogue!"
As she yelled, she started scratching at Shazhu's body. Terrified, he could only dodge her attacks: "Aunt Jia, you’ve got it all wrong! I’m not acting like a rogue!"
But how could Jia Zhangshi possibly listen to Shazhu’s explanation?
Hearing the voice of Jia Zhang, the women left behind in the courtyard rushed over. They saw Shazhu, bare-chested, being chased and beaten by Jia Zhang, and they thought he was trying to harass her!
Oh dear, how could Shazhu be harassing Sister Jia? Didn't he have a crush on the Jia family's daughter-in-law?
In my opinion, it must be because Widow Qin was ignoring Shazhu, so he switched his target! Oh, I see now—Shazhu is trying to win over Sister Jia first, and then look for a chance to pursue Widow Qin!
Wow, is it really possible to play it this way? Shazhu is quite the player; is he planning to have both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law?
