"You must be joking! When did I ever report anything?"
Jia Zhangshi's retort was abruptly cut off as a sudden memory flooded her mind—an image of herself holding a report letter, submitting it to the supervisory department against Shazhu.
The reason Jia Zhangshi only recalled this now was that Wang Jiefang had hypnotized her, causing her to suppress this memory. It wasn't until the deaf old lady mentioned it that the memory resurfaced for Jia Zhangshi.

Yizhonghai knew that the deaf old lady was causing trouble for Jia Zhangshi, and he also resented her for reporting Shazhu. So he pretended not to see the deaf old lady confronting Jia Zhangshi and took his savings book straight to the bank.
Shazhu had been locked up in that small storage room. Fortunately, he hadn’t acted up while there, so he hadn’t received any special treatment either. He had no idea how long he would have to stay in that storage room, but he knew that both the deaf old lady and Yizhonghai would try their best to rescue him. He also wondered if Qin Jie would worry about him if she found out he had been captured.
Lost in his thoughts, Zheng Kezhang walked in and said, "Shazhu, you can go now!"
Shazhu jumped up in surprise. "Really? Is it Yizhonghai who came to rescue me? That's great!"
Zheng Kezhang looked at Shazhu with a complex expression as he left with Yizhonghai. Shazhu was lucky; the inspectors had come for him specifically, yet he emerged unscathed while many of the factory’s mid-level leaders were taken away instead.
It wasn’t until two days later that Yizhonghai learned from reports that Factory Director Yang had been demoted to a farm for corruption due to abuse of power.
Deputy Director Kuai was sentenced for embezzlement and accepting bribes of particularly large amounts! On top of that, he had been involved in inappropriate relationships and received a hefty sentence! Even Deputy Director Kuai’s father-in-law was implicated and forced into early retirement!
Besides these two, two other deputy directors were sentenced to prison terms ranging from twenty to thirty years!
