Hearing Shazhu admit to stealing the chicken, Xu Damao turned around and ran back. "Haha! Shazhu, you admitted it yourself that you stole my chicken! Since that's the case, you should compensate me!"
Shazhu glared at Xu Damao's smug face and said, "Fine, I'll pay you. Godfather, lend me two yuan!"
Yi Zhonghai had a complex expression as he took out two yuan to lend to Shazhu. He hadn't expected that Shazhu would even need to borrow two yuan now. Just how much money had Qin Huairu taken from him?
"Here are two yuan; is that enough?"
Facing the money thrown by Shazhu, Xu Damao didn't even glance at it. "You think two yuan is enough to settle this? You need to compensate me at least five yuan!"
"Xu Damao, don't go too far! Five yuan is enough to buy two chickens!" Shazhu glared at Xu Damao angrily; he felt that Xu Damao was being quite greedy.
"What? You think five yuan is too much? Fine, then I won't take it. I'll just call the police and whatever they say, I'll accept!"

Yi Zhonghai saw that Shazhu didn't speak up anymore and sighed as he took out another three yuan for him.
Xu Damao took the five yuan and looked at the fragrant chicken soup in front of him. He picked it up and said, "Brother Wang Jiefang, let's go eat chicken at my place! Although Shazhu isn't exactly a good person, this chicken smells really good!"
Just as Xu Damao was about to take the freshly cooked chicken away, Shazhu quickly blocked him. "Xu Damao, what do you mean by this? Didn't I just pay you? Why are you still taking the soup?"
"Exactly! Shazhu, you said that five yuan was compensation for me; this chicken is mine now. What's wrong with me taking it back to eat?"
"You’re talking nonsense! This chicken was bought by my godfather! How did it become yours?"
"Oh? This was bought by Elder Yi? Then where's my chicken? Looks like I need to call the police and have them look for it!"
Seeing Xu Damao threaten to call the police again made Shazhu furious. "Xu Damao, that's enough! Didn't I already pay for the chicken?"
