Wang Ren explained, "He Yuzhu, this house now belongs to He Yushui. She asked us at the street office to rent it out! We're just following her request."

Wang Ren looked at Qin Huairu with suspicion. "Qin Huairu, what do you mean by 'outsider'? Are you saying that only people from your courtyard can live here? When did this courtyard become yours alone?"
Ke Dashan also shot a hostile look at Qin Huairu. Damn it! This woman seemed pretty but dared to look down on him by calling him an outsider? What? Was he not worthy of living in their courtyard?
Seeing Wang Ren questioning her, Qin Huairu felt flustered for a moment. "No! I didn't mean it like that! What I meant was that we know each other well in our courtyard; we feel more at ease renting to someone from our own community."
As soon as Qin Huairu said this, Ke Dashan couldn't hold back anymore. "What do you mean by that? Do you think I'm some kind of bad person?"
Seeing Ke Dashan's fierce demeanor made Qin Huairu take two steps back in fear; her eyes instantly turned red. "No! I didn't mean it like that!"
