Yi Zhonghai rushed outside, seeing Shazhu being beaten, and shouted anxiously, "Stop! Don't hit him! Please, stop!" He ran forward, trying to break up the fight, but he didn't know who was involved or if it was intentional. Someone pushed him into the crowd, and the people in the courtyard, who had long held grievances against Yi Zhonghai for favoring the Jia family and Shazhu, took no notice of him. They seized the opportunity to join in the beating.

Wang Jiefang did not hold back and recounted everything that had just occurred. After listening to his account, Wang Ren felt that Shazhu deserved to be beaten. "You thought you were so tough when you were hitting others? Now you've drawn everyone's ire and gotten beaten up!"
As for Yi Zhonghai? Well, he was just unlucky; his severe beating proved that he was not well-liked in this courtyard!
Thinking of the deaf old lady's house made her head ache a bit. She turned to Wang Jiefang and asked, "Does the deaf old lady really consider herself the ancestor of this courtyard? Does she expect everyone to give her food first?"
