Jia Zhangshi began crying and making a scene when she saw Bang Gang about to be arrested.
Wang and the police grew impatient. "Everyone be quiet! If you keep making noise, we'll arrest you too!"
That threat worked immediately; Jia Zhangshi and Qin Huairu fell silent.
Wang's expression turned serious as he surveyed the crowd. "I've said before that if there's any trouble in your courtyard again, I will not show leniency. Whether Sha Zhu and Bang Gang are guilty is not for me to decide, nor can your claims of helping those in need cover for them!"
The final verdict would await the court's ruling. "Alright then, today is the first day of the new year. I hope everyone will refrain from causing trouble! Just go about your business!"
