When the night grew deep and quiet, Wang Jiefang put Sun Yuwei into a deep hypnosis once more, then silently left the courtyard. He knew where his senior brother Qi lived and headed straight there.
Arriving at Qi's bedside, who was still sound asleep, Wang Jiefang swiftly struck him with a knife-hand blow, causing Qi to faint instantly. Wang Jiefang then dragged him out of the courtyard.
Before long, Wang Jiefang reached the wilderness. Outside of Kyoto, there were vast areas uninhabited; as long as no gunfire or explosions occurred here, it was unlikely anyone would hear anything. He tossed the unconscious Qi onto the ground and immediately delivered two hard slaps to his face, causing it to swell rapidly like dough.
The pain jolted Qi awake, and he looked around in confusion, not understanding how he ended up here. Wasn’t he supposed to be at home sleeping?
"Ha ha, my dear senior brother, you’re awake?"
The chilling voice from behind startled Qi, turning his face pale as he scrambled forward a few steps. Suddenly, he realized something was off; that voice seemed to be calling him "senior brother," and it sounded oddly familiar.
"You blind fool! How dare you scare me? Are you looking for death?" Qi mustered his courage and turned to see who had spoken. His heart immediately relaxed upon recognizing Wang Jiefang.
Remembering how he had been frightened by this blind man just moments ago, Qi felt a surge of anger rise within him.
Wang Jiefang stood there, ignoring Qi’s outburst. In his heart, he thought that this senior brother was practically a dead man now!
After venting his frustration at Wang Jiefang, Qi looked around impatiently. "Hey! I said, Wang the Blind, why am I in this desolate place?"
"I brought you here. So, what do you think? Do you like it? This is the burial ground I chose for you!"
Wang Jiefang finally responded to Qi's question.
Ever since Wang Jiefang became an apprentice, the master’s wife had felt that Qi was old enough to be independent and shifted her focus entirely onto Wang Jiefang. This made Qi, who had always been doted on, quite unhappy with his junior brother. Thus, behind the master’s back, he had bullied Wang Jiefang more than once!
This led him to underestimate Wang Jiefang completely until now when he still hadn’t grasped the situation!
Qi wasn’t foolish; upon hearing Wang Jiefang's words and thinking it over for a moment, he understood: "Ha ha, you came looking for me because of that old fossil of a master, didn’t you? I have to say you’re really quite stupid! Since this is your chosen spot, how about I bury you here instead?"
Qi spoke ominously to Wang Jiefang. He didn’t believe that a healthy person like himself could possibly be overpowered by a blind man. He completely overlooked how he had been silently taken from his home by this very blind man!
