Liu Guangtian was a tough man; he didn't even grunt as he collapsed to the ground. Ever since Liu Haizhong and Liu Guangtian had started fighting, Aunt Wu Bilian had quickly hidden away, while Liu Guangfu stood by, staring blankly at his father and Liu Guangtian in a brawl.
Now, seeing his second brother lying on the ground with blood pouring from his head after being struck by a bench, he understood his father well. With his second brother down, it was only a matter of time before he became the next target.
Fueled by fear and under Wang Jiefang's hypnotic influence, Liu Guangfu seized the opportunity while Liu Haizhong had his back turned. He picked up the bench and swung it at his father's head!
Wu Bilian, witnessing this scene from inside the house, couldn't help but exclaim, "Old Liu, watch out! Guangfu, what are you doing? That's your father!"
Hearing her shout and the rush of wind as the bench swung toward him, Liu Haizhong instinctively ducked. As a result, instead of hitting him, the bench struck Liu Haizhong on the neck!
Liu Haizhong heard a crack from his neck followed by a wave of excruciating pain before everything went dark.
"Old Liu, are you okay? Old Liu! Wake up!" Wu Bilian rushed out to embrace Liu Haizhong as he lay on the ground, crying out in desperation.
Seeing that her calls went unanswered, Wu Bilian shot a complex glance at Liu Guangfu before she opened the door and shouted, "Everyone, please help me get my husband and Guangtian to the hospital! I'm begging you!"
When the fight first broke out between the Liu father and son, people in the courtyard had gathered outside to watch the commotion. Now, seeing Wu Bilian come out seeking help, they exchanged glances. To be honest, given Liu Haizhong's recent behavior, no one was eager to step forward.
Realizing her predicament, Wu Bilian knelt down. "Everyone, I know my husband has done things recently that you don't like, but he hasn't harmed anyone in our courtyard! Considering we've all lived here together for so long, please help me!"

However, before they could carry Liu Haizhong out, those who had gone inside rushed back out in a panic.

Upon hearing this cry, Wu Bilian had just been helped up when darkness enveloped her again as she fainted.
A death was a serious matter! The people in the courtyard quickly called the police.
When the officers arrived at the scene and assessed it, they were shocked. "What kind of grudge is this? His brains have been splattered everywhere!"
Liu Haizhong was also taken to the hospital. However, after examination, it was revealed that his condition wasn't good either; his cervical vertebrae had been fractured. They had brought him in too late—he was now paralyzed from the waist down!
This case was straightforward to investigate. When Liu Haizhong and Liu Guangtian were fighting, there were plenty of onlookers peering through windows or door cracks.
After conducting some interviews, the police quickly pieced together what had transpired.
