"Jiedi, you know our family rules. Your mother and I have raised you all these years; if you get hired, you must give thirty dollars to the family every month!"
Yan Bugui's miserly nature was unchangeable! Yan Jiedi wasn't surprised by her father's words.
She didn't bother bargaining with him; she knew her father could always find various reasons to persuade her. Thirty dollars was fine; after all, she was already old enough. Once she started working and found someone to marry, whether or not she gave that money would be up to her!
Yan Bugui couldn't possibly know that his usually obedient daughter had such thoughts! It wasn't because he educated her well!
Seeing that Yan Bugui had finished speaking, Yu Li nudged Yan Jiefang. Yan Jiefang looked at Yan Bugui's flushed face from holding back his words but couldn't say anything!
Yan Bugui glared at Yan Jiefang and scolded him: "What are you stammering about? What do you want to say?"
Facing Yan Bugui still left Yan Jiefang speechless. He pushed Yu Li: "This idea was yours; you say something!"
