Yan Jiefang wanted to ask Wang Jiefang for help too, but remembering how his father had tried to take advantage of the situation, he felt a bit anxious.
Yan Bugui also felt uneasy about this. He avoided eye contact and said, "Well, Wang Jiefang should help us, right? After all, we’re all in the same compound; it’s only natural to help each other out!"

Instead of responding to Yu's request, Wang Jiefang asked, "The chef who quit was named Zhou, right? Did you not pay him?"
This time Yan Jiefang jumped in to answer: "That’s right! His last name is Zhou. Do you know him? As for payment, he left without giving us a chance to recover our losses! We didn’t even ask him for compensation; how could we possibly pay him?"
Wang Jiefang chuckled at Yan Jiefang's self-righteousness. "Yu, Yan Jiefang, as neighbors, let me give you some advice!"
"What advice?" Yan Jiefang was curious about what Wang Jiefang had to say.
"It’s not anything important; it’s just that your withholding payment from the chef has spread in the culinary community!"
"You two really think I would introduce my chef friends to you? If you keep withholding payments from them, where does that leave me as the introducer?"
"Yan Jiefang, Yu, take my advice and close your restaurant while you still can; that way you can minimize your losses!"
After saying this, Wang Jiefang closed the door.
"What does that mean? Who does he think he is telling me to close my restaurant?" Yan Jiefang shouted angrily at Wang Jiefang's house.
Yu sighed in disappointment and pulled Yan Jiefang away. "Enough! What are you shouting about? Isn’t it embarrassing enough already?"
"Wang Jiefang thinks we won't be able to find chefs anymore; if we don’t close down soon, what else can we do?"
"No way! Who says we can’t find chefs? I refuse to believe that!"
Seeing Yan Jiefang stubbornly insisting on his point of view made Yu feel helpless. Who knew that just being greedy and not paying Chef Zhou would lead them to this situation where their restaurant might not survive?
If she had known earlier, she would have gladly paid Chef Zhou without hesitation!
Although Wang Jiefang did not say who had cut their chef's salary, she knew that besides Master Zhou, there could only be one other person responsible.
