Ever since Liu Fan was saved by Ruan Fuxi's talisman, the first thing he did was immediately log onto his social media accounts, especially his Weibo, to delete all the posts where he had spoken ill of her. He was afraid that if he delayed even for a second, he might incur the displeasure of Miss Ruan.
After checking twice and confirming that everything that needed to be deleted was gone, Liu Fan finally breathed a sigh of relief. He then pinned the post where he had shared Ruan Fuxi's update.
Liu Fan was also a young master, and most of his contacts on social media were from the same circle. Someone noticed his actions and decided to privately ask him about it.
"What's up with you? I just saw you delete all those posts criticizing Ruan Fuxi. Did someone from the Ruan family talk to you?"
Ruan Fuxi was disliked and not very popular, but the Ruan family treated her like a treasure. From her parents to her brother, no one spared any affection for her. The person speculated that perhaps someone from the Ruan family had approached Liu Fan, which was why he deleted those posts. After all, the Ruan family's business was thriving, so it was only normal to give face in such trivial matters.
However, he couldn't understand why Liu Fan would not only delete those posts but also pin Ruan Fuxi's update. Did he really believe she could read fortunes?
Seeing the message come through, Liu Fan quickly typed a response: "No, the Ruan family didn’t contact me. Ruan Fuxi is a real master; she truly has skills. I'm not lying!"
He then recounted in detail what had happened that night when he encountered a ghost, emphasizing once more: "In short, I won't dare to provoke Ruan Fuxi again. You should let everyone else know too; be careful from now on."
The other person read his reply and didn't take it seriously at all. "You must have been hallucinating from drinking too much that night. Ruan Fuxi is just putting on a show; if you believe that, then what about that talisman? I bet she just bulk-bought it online."
Clearly, he scoffed at Liu Fan's claim that Ruan Fuxi was a master.
Liu Fan noticed his disbelief. "Believe it or not, but if you ever end up seeking help from Ruan Fuxi, don't say I didn't warn you."
The person on the other end laughed. "Ruan Fuxi may not have been kicked out of the Ruan family yet, but who doesn't know she's a fake? It's only a matter of time before she gets thrown out. Why would I ever seek her help?"
Liu Fan let out a sigh, already beginning to feel pity for the other party. After all, he had thought the same way at first, but the reality hit him too quickly. It was proven that one should not make hasty judgments; he was now waiting to see how the other would handle the words spoken today.
Liu Fan didn't say anything more; he had said what needed to be said, and whether they believed it or not was up to them. He then made a point to tell a few close friends about the situation, advising them not to confront Ruan Fuxi online anymore. He genuinely feared that this ancestral figure might, in a moment of displeasure, send some ghostly trouble their way.
At first, Liu Fan's friends were skeptical, but they couldn't resist Liu Fan's persistent persuasion. Regardless of their beliefs, they were simply tired of hearing about it. Thus, they followed Liu Fan's lead and deleted their previous posts criticizing Ruan Fuxi.
Finally, their surroundings felt quiet again. Yet, curiosity lingered in their minds: just how persuasive could Ruan Fuxi be? She had transformed a modern youth who spent his days drinking and partying—someone who never prayed—into a devoted follower who referred to her as "Master." In some ways, Ruan Fuxi was indeed impressive.
