The Zen girl stood in place, a bit puzzled, but obediently walked back.
"Host, why can't I lend it?"
Ruan Fuxi looked at the girl named Qiyuan and said softly to the Zen girl, "Did you not give her a gift that you always carry with you not long ago?"
The Zen girl first recalled, then realized, "I gave Qiyuan a bracelet that I had worn for a long time. I originally wanted to give her a new one, but she said that something I had worn had more sentimental value."
[Strange, why would she want something old instead of new? I mean, come on, sister, think about it.]
[I didn't think much of it at first, but since the host said so, there must be something wrong.]
Qiyuan fidgeted on her stool. Upon seeing the comments on the screen, her expression became even more unpleasant.
The Zen girl hadn’t felt anything strange before, but now she was starting to connect the dots. She looked seriously at Qiyuan and asked, "Qiyuan, are you hiding something from me?"
Qiyuan tried hard to calm herself but couldn't help revealing her true emotions.
Having been friends for four years in college, the Zen girl could see that something was off with her. But Qiyuan remained silent, leaving her helpless.
Ruan Fuxi's voice rang out again, carrying a hint of understanding. "How could she admit in front of you that she wants to harm you?"
Upon hearing this and combining it with Qiyuan's current demeanor, the Zen girl felt shocked. Despite their four years of friendship, she couldn't believe Qiyuan would harm her; yet now, she had no choice but to accept the possibility.
She sighed and looked at Qiyuan with disappointment. "Qiyuan, aren't you going to explain anything?"
Qiyuan wore an innocent expression. "Xiaoqing, how could I ever harm you? This host must be deliberately sowing discord between us."
The Zen girl looked at her suspiciously.
Qiyuan continued, "Look, I've never done anything to you; how can you say that I want to harm you?"
The Zen girl felt that what she said seemed reasonable but still sensed something was off. She turned to the screen for help.
Ruan Fuxi spoke directly, "You gave her a bracelet that you wore close to you. This bracelet has absorbed your essence and is closely related to you. Your friend, however, is in poor health and has bad luck. Water represents wealth, and rice represents fortune. If you give her water and rice today, you're essentially transferring your wealth and fortune to her, even your lifespan. If I'm not mistaken, she knows your birth date and time as well."
The Buddhist girl felt a chill run down her spine halfway through Ruan Fuxi's explanation and quickly nodded. "Yes, host, she knows my birth date and time."
Ruan Fuxi replied, "Then what I said is correct; she wants to borrow your luck."
The Buddhist girl stared at Qi Yuan, her initial enthusiasm completely gone. "I fed the dog with my heart; these years of friendship were blind on my part to consider you a friend."
After being exposed, Qi Yuan stopped pretending and shot her a resentful glance. "I really envy your fate. You can connect with a true master just by watching a livestream; your luck is truly remarkable. I only approached you because of your fortune."
The Buddhist girl yanked her bracelet off Qi Yuan's wrist. "Leave. I don't need friends like you."
Qi Yuan glared at the screen and said to Ruan Fuxi, "Who are you? Why don't you dare show your face? You've ruined my chances; I was so close to succeeding."
Ruan Fuxi raised an eyebrow, her expression calm and indifferent.
