Argus missed his strike and let out a furious roar, his massive body trembling with rage. Yet, instead of losing his composure, he became even more vigilant, scanning the surroundings in an attempt to catch the breath of the creature lurking in the shadows.
At that moment, Yin Ming Long seized the opportunity to attack. It burst forth from the darkness, opening its enormous jaws and biting down hard on one of Argus's thick arms. With a sickening tearing sound, that arm was severed, blood gushing forth like a fountain.
Below in the Arena, gasps of disbelief echoed among the spectators as they struggled to comprehend what was unfolding before their eyes. Just as Yin Ming Long celebrated this remarkable victory, a fierce light erupted from Argus's remaining countless eyes—a blend of anger and despair that radiated power.
He unleashed a deafening roar, as if intending to shatter the very heavens. With that roar came a surge of energy that erupted from within him, causing the entire Arena to tremble violently.
The Short-Haired Man's expression changed drastically. He understood all too well that this was Argus's final counterattack, and its power was not to be underestimated. He attempted to summon Yin Ming Long back, but it was too late.
Though brave, Yin Ming Long had no choice but to release its grip on the severed arm to protect itself from the impending shockwave. In that critical moment, all of Argus's remaining eyes opened wide, releasing a barrage of dense energy arrows. These arrows converged into a torrent of destructive force aimed directly at the Short-Haired Man and Yin Ming Long.
The Short-Haired Man did everything he could to evade this lethal assault, but his body was already exhausted from the relentless battles, and his speed had diminished significantly. In the end, he could only watch helplessly as the energy torrent engulfed him, his body torn apart and left gravely injured.
Yin Ming Long let out a series of mournful cries upon witnessing this. It tried to approach the Short-Haired Man but was pushed back by the residual shockwaves, unable to get close. Ultimately, it could only stand guard over its master’s battered form, its eyes filled with unwillingness and rage.
In the Arena, only Argus's mangled body remained amidst the chaos surrounding it. Great Xia had lost four warriors!
Only Su Chen, Supreme Academy’s Bing Sheng Yun Che Wen, Holy Light of the War God, and Rain Butterfly were left standing. There was also one other—a man in a black robe emanating an aura of malevolence who seemed reluctant to engage.
In this battle, Argus emerged victorious! Wu Chenzi stepped onto the stage to announce the outcome.
As his words fell, cheers erupted from Mei Guo’s camp like a tidal wave, filled with joy and pride in their victory. In stark contrast stood Great Xia’s camp in silence; an indescribable heaviness and oppression hung in the air.
Faced with the rampage of monstrous forces and the combined might of the gods, Great Xia felt as if they were at the center of a storm—isolated and powerless against overwhelming odds.
Could it be that Great Xia’s glory would dim at this moment? Such thoughts quietly took root in many hearts like dark clouds gathering overhead, difficult to dispel.
"Argos, your battle is over. Now, it's my turn!" The werewolf's voice, filled with wildness and challenge, shattered the silence as he strode confidently into the Arena, his sharp gaze locking directly onto Su Chen.
"Boy, do you know that I have already considered you my prey? Your delicate skin is undoubtedly a delicacy in my eyes." The werewolf's tone dripped with provocation and greed, as if he could already foresee the fruits of his victory.
