The sea breeze howled, causing the clothes of Aiven and Elf to flap wildly. Standing at the edge of the cliff, Aiven gazed out at the dark expanse of the ocean, a sense of unease rising within him. He thought he had grown accustomed to such adventures, yet every time they were about to approach an unknown, mysterious place, that feeling of anxiety never seemed to fade. 0

"Elf, do we really have to go?" Aiven's voice was low, his eyes fixed on the dark waters ahead. 0

Elf's expression showed no signs of wavering; a determined light sparkled in her eyes. "If we don't go, we'll never know the true secret behind the Ghost Ship." 0

Aiven fell silent, staring at the hazy mist over the sea, and nodded quietly. Regardless of their fears, there was no turning back. 0

As they stood there, the surface of the ocean gradually became calmer, and the wind suddenly ceased, plunging the world into a profound silence. Aiven and Elf exchanged glances, both feeling an unshakeable pressure in their hearts. 0

"It's coming," Elf whispered, her gaze deep as if she could see through everything. 0

Aiven turned to look, and slowly a vague silhouette of a ship emerged on the water. The vessel seemed shrouded in dark mist, its outline distorted as if it did not belong to this world. The sails were tattered, and the hull appeared heavy and ancient. There were no lights aboard—only a silent aura that carried an ominous power. 0

"Is that... the Ghost Ship?" Aiven murmured, shock evident on his face. 0

Elf nodded, her expression still calm. "Yes, the legendary Ghost Ship. This vessel drifts eternally upon the sea, unable to dock at any land; it is cursed. All who board this ship can never leave." 0

Aiven's heart raced suddenly; what had once felt like solid ground now felt heavy beneath him. "Then how... how do we face it?" 0

Elf smirked coldly, her eyes gleaming with resolve. "We have no choice. We must board it and find its core to destroy its curse." 0

As soon as they finished speaking, the Ghost Ship began to draw closer, its mist swirling like a living entity that spread with its movement, gradually enveloping the entire sea around them. 0

"Run!" Elf suddenly grabbed Evan's hand and led him toward a nearby small wooden boat. Without a moment's hesitation, Evan followed her lead and jumped onto the rickety vessel. 0

The wooden boat rocked violently on the surface of the sea, as if it could capsize at any moment, yet it stubbornly made its way toward the Ghost Ship. Evan gripped the oars tightly; with each stroke through the water, he felt a strong pull coming from the dark waters ahead, as if something unseen was dragging them in. 0

Finally, they managed to board the deck of the Ghost Ship. The mist still lingered over the sea, and the ship swayed slightly, filling the air with a stench of decay and mildew. 0

Everything on the ship appeared extremely dilapidated; the planks on the deck creaked ominously, threatening to collapse at any moment. In the distance, Evan could see some indistinct figures—thin and raggedly dressed, they wandered about the ship with blank expressions. His heart raced in his chest as his gaze instinctively swept around. 0

"Are they... ghosts?" Evan whispered. 0

Elf did not answer; her eyes were fixed intently on a certain direction on the ship. "We need to go that way and find the core of the ship." 0

"The core?" Evan paused for a moment. "What is that? Why does it control the entire ship?" 0

Elf's expression grew serious. "The curse of the Ghost Ship originates from its core. It is an ancient magical artifact that was once used by the Giant Race for navigation. It carries all the sins and resentments of the Giant Race, and these ghosts on board are the descendants of the Giant Race who have not found peace." 0

Evan's heart tightened at her words. "So, we must destroy that core to break the curse?" 0

Elf nodded. "Yes, but be careful; this ship will not easily let anyone who tries to destroy it escape." 0
