After the chat ended, Zheng Mengni stood up, preparing to leave, when she heard a voice calling her from below.
“Zheng Mengni, this teacher you invited isn’t that great. Why not let me teach you instead?”
With a thud, her phone slipped from her fingers and fell to the ground.
She must have had too much to drink; it was probably just her imagination. Zheng Mengni smiled to reassure herself as she bent down to pick up her phone. Just as she grabbed it, a voice echoed from the toilet: “How about it, darling? You wanted to learn, right? I can help you master it quickly. Whatever you want to learn, I can teach you.”
Thud.
The phone slipped from her hand again.
Zheng Mengni’s heart raced as she widened her eyes in shock. She stood up, holding her breath as she lifted the toilet lid, only to find nothing inside.
As she pushed open the bathroom door to escape, that voice somehow emerged from the toilet, clinging to her relentlessly. “Don’t be scared! Just listen to what I have to say before you go.”
Zheng Mengni covered her ears and ran away.

This was a story from the novel "True Daughter's Counterattack." The female character Ye Bingran was swapped with the true heiress by the supporting character Zheng Mengni and A-Qin. Growing up in an orphanage, she had a tragic fate but was favored by destiny. With the luck of a golden koi, she could achieve great fortune without lifting a finger.
Ye Bingran found money on the street and won lottery tickets effortlessly. Anyone she liked would reciprocate her feelings, while those she disliked would suffer misfortune. Despite her tragic background, life in the orphanage was smooth sailing for her.
Before returning to the Zheng family, she even saved the male lead Tan Yan from a car accident while out picking up a package. Tan Yan was the eldest son of a top-tier wealthy family and casually donated millions to her orphanage with a wave of his hand.
After returning to the Zheng family, Zheng Mengni’s mother switched identities with Ye Bingran and sent her back to the orphanage. In a fit of anger over Ye Bingran's suffering for so many years, Zheng Mengni's father expelled her from the family home.
With no obstacles left in her way, Ye Bingran’s life seemed like it was on cheat mode; she could summon wind or rain at will. To embody the kindness and selflessness of Ye Bingran, one of the plot points involved her gifting a hundred thousand in a live stream hosted by Zheng Mengni, accompanied by a message: "Xiao Ni, keep it up!"
As for Zheng Mengni, her story took a dark turn; consumed by greed, she arranged to meet with a powerful figure offline, only to meet a tragic fate—she was assaulted and killed, her body discarded in the sea.
Regarding Ye Bingran, the protagonist of this story, her ending had yet to be determined, and it needed to be something extraordinary and heart-wrenching. For Ye Bingran, her emergence was meant to be the pinnacle of the narrative.
However, at some point, the plot began to unravel. The scene where Tan Yan had an accident and was promptly taken to the hospital by Ye Bingran vanished entirely; he never had the accident, and their initial bond faded away. Although donations were still made, they no longer had any connection to Ye Bingran.
The situation in the narrative world grew dire. Upon investigation, it was discovered that characters within—minor ones like "Character A"—were starting to awaken their self-awareness. Once a character's consciousness awakens, the storyline becomes uncontrollable.
The narrative bureau set out a mission: they needed to swiftly realign the plot and create exciting moments to ensure a happy ending for Ye Bingran. A Qi had not found a suitable character to bind with yet and decided to directly connect with an important role within the novel.
He had his eyes on several candidates but was ignored each time.
