An invisible pressure suddenly descended, causing the pack of wolves to react as if they had encountered something terrifying. Their tails, which had been held high, immediately tucked between their hind legs, and their fierce eyes turned to panic.
"Disperse!" Jiang Chen suddenly spoke up, his voice low but commanding.
Startled, the wolves scattered in all directions, seeking refuge in the bushes, trembling with fear.
"You two, aren’t you leaving?" Jiang Chen turned back and glanced at Liu Zhi and Liang Hong, speaking in a calm tone.
Liu Zhi and Liang Hong thought they were dreaming. After rubbing their eyes vigorously, they confirmed that it was real—the wolves had indeed retreated on their own.
Coming to their senses, the two quickly caught up with Jiang Chen and walked alongside him toward the opposite side.
The onlookers outside were dumbfounded by Jiang Chen’s low shout that had scared off the wolves. Even the foreign old man stood there in disbelief.
"This doesn’t make sense. These Hungry Wolves have been starving for three days; how could they be afraid of people?" The old man looked puzzled.
Other players regained their composure and felt invigorated. They didn’t think Jiang Chen possessed any special powers; instead, they believed that these Hungry Wolves were all bark and no bite—they were simply scared of humans.
If Jiang Chen could pass through unarmed, then surely with weapons in hand, they would frighten the Hungry Wolves even more.
Soon enough, Jiang Chen made it through the pack unharmed and reached the other side.
Liu Zhi and Liang Hong couldn’t help but feel overjoyed, experiencing a sense of rebirth after a near escape.
"Brother Jiang, how did you do that?" Liu Zhi and Liang Hong asked curiously, sensing that there was more to this than met the eye.
Jiang Chen remained silent, his gaze fixed on the other side.
Over there, the Young Muscle Man's team was eager to try their luck. Seeing that Jiang Chen had passed without any gear filled them with confidence. The five of them entered the enclosure with ease.
As Jiang Chen's imposing aura dissipated, the wolves that had been huddled in the bushes felt the absence of pressure and slowly emerged once more.
They were incredibly hungry. Looking around and seeing no immediate threat, their sinister gazes locked onto the five newcomers who had just entered.
"Awwooo~~~"
The pack howled in unison before charging forward to block the path of the muscular Young Muscle Man and his companions.
Had they witnessed this scene moments earlier, these men would have been terrified. However, now that Jiang Chen had demonstrated his ability to handle the situation, they felt indifferent towards the Hungry Wolves.
"Let me handle this!" said the muscular Young Muscle Man. Taller and stronger than Jiang Chen, he exuded a confidence far greater than Jiang Chen's. If a low shout from Jiang Chen could scare off these Hungry Wolves, he believed he could do it too.
Stepping forward with determination, he fixed his gaze on the wolf pack with a slight smirk before mimicking Jiang Chen’s earlier command: "Disperse!"
After his shout echoed through the air, he expected the wolves to cower and retreat. To his surprise, however, upon hearing his voice, the wolves bared their teeth even more ferociously.
"This is bad!" Young Muscle Man exclaimed, his face pale with fear.
As soon as he finished speaking, the Hungry Wolves surged forward.
"Fire! Fire!" Muscle Man urged urgently, his voice filled with panic.
Bang! Bang! Bang! The gunshots rang out, startling the Hungry Wolves and causing them to momentarily halt.
The five Muscle Men huddled closely together, their hands trembling as they stared at the dense pack of wolves. Despite their strength, they felt a wave of fear wash over them in this dire situation.
"What’s going on? That guy just scared off the wolves with a single shout, and my voice is much louder than his," Muscle Man said, frustration etched across his face.
