Xiao Bai Long nodded eagerly and led him in search of the Flame Unicorn Beast. After flying around the entire mountain, Xiao Bai Long quickly found the Flame Unicorn Beast. It was curled up behind a massive rock, its eyes tightly shut, seemingly deep in slumber.
"Flame Unicorn Beast, are you alright?" Chen Mo Xuan approached gently, calling softly, "I have some questions for you."
The Flame Unicorn Beast couldn't speak, but its eyes, resembling two blazing suns, suddenly emitted a red glow. Immediately, a red light curtain appeared before Chen Mo Xuan and Xiao Bai Long.
Within the light curtain, the figure of a mysterious man became strikingly clear. He wore a black robe, his face shrouded in shadow, revealing only a pair of eyes that sparkled with an eerie light. He slowly approached the sealing platform, effortlessly breaking the seal, and then without hesitation, he descended into the darkness.
The Flame Unicorn Beast's sun-like eyes fixed intently on the light curtain, filled with helplessness and rage. In the image, it tried to stop the mysterious man but was clearly no match for him. They clashed violently, and the Flame Unicorn Beast sustained serious injuries that had yet to heal.
Since then, the power of the Blood Emperor began to spread gradually, affecting the surrounding spirit beasts, demon beasts, and ferocious beasts. One by one, they disappeared without a trace as if consumed by some invisible force.
Watching this scene unfold, Chen Mo Xuan felt a surge of intense unease. He realized that there was a hidden hand behind the events occurring here. Someone was deliberately allowing the power of the Blood Emperor to leak out, affecting more living beings. However, he could not discern their ultimate purpose.
What troubled Chen Mo Xuan even more was that the mysterious man had easily broken the seal—perhaps it was someone familiar to him!
"Flame Unicorn Beast, do you know who that mysterious man is? Or have you seen what he looks like?" Chen Mo Xuan fixed his gaze on the Flame Unicorn Beast, hoping to glean some clues from it.
However, the Flame Unicorn Beast merely shook its head; the red glow in its eyes gradually faded away as the light curtain disappeared. It seemed unable to provide any more information.
Chen Mo Xuan sighed; he knew he would likely not obtain any further answers from the Flame Unicorn Beast.
He took out a pill and fed it to the Flame Unicorn Beast while turning to Xiao Bai Long, saying, "We need to leave this place, and we must reach the next location quickly. First, let's destroy his left hand and head to the Underworld Swamp!"
Xiao Bai Long nodded, sensing that something significant was about to happen. She transformed into a streak of light, swiftly carrying Chen Moxuan away from the Crimson Flame Mountain Range.
As they soared through the clouds, they raced toward the northern end of Yun Miao Sheng Zhou. There lay the Underworld Swamp, hiding the first sealing location. As they approached, the sky gradually darkened, thick clouds gathering as if even the heavens were foretelling impending doom.
Finally, they reached the edge of the Underworld Swamp. Once they landed, Chen Moxuan's heart tightened at the sight before him; the once green marsh had transformed into a blood-red sea. The water's surface was eerily still yet emanated a chilling aura of evil. The poisonous creatures that once inhabited this place had vanished without a trace, replaced by swarms of blood-sucking plants and man-eating vines. They swayed gracefully in the water, as if they were the new rulers of this land of death.
Unbeknownst to when, Xiao Bai Long had two large hammers in her hands. She glanced at Chen Moxuan beside her and asked if they should just destroy this entire forest so they wouldn't have to worry about those nuisances.
Chen Moxuan did not respond; his gaze was fixated on those strange plants. Their numbers had surged dramatically, and each one appeared more robust than before, their leaves glimmering with a bloodthirsty light as if they could sense living beings nearby and were eager to pounce.
"Let's destroy it," he said heavily. "Every leaf here could be a deadly trap. There’s no need for this Underworld Swamp to exist anymore."
"Perfect," Chen Moxuan continued, "destroying this place will make it easier to find the sealing location."
Upon hearing this, excitement flickered in Xiao Bai Long's eyes.
She swung the massive hammer in her hand, transforming it into a streak of light that shot straight into the blood-red ocean. Accompanied by a thunderous roar, the blood-sucking plants and man-eating vines shattered under her strikes, splattering green juice everywhere.
Suddenly, a storm swept in from the distance, descending from the sky. Xiao Bai Long's rain-calling technique resembled a natural disaster, with fierce winds whipping up torrential rain that ruthlessly ravaged the Underworld Swamp. The wind turned into blades, slicing through the air and tearing apart the blood-sucking plants and man-eating vines, mixing their green juices with the rain to form a murky flood.
The flood continuously washed over the entire swamp, flushing away all the blood-red water. Xiao Bai Long's figure flickered in and out of view amidst the storm; with each swing of her hammer came a thunderous crash that shattered the surrounding evil plants into pieces. Those once seemingly invincible blood-sucking plants crumbled like fragile straw under her blows, breaking and rotting away.
The entire Underworld Swamp trembled under this terrifying power, as if it might collapse at any moment. Chen Moxuan shook his head; it was unnecessary for her to personally smash everything when a single spell could have sufficed—she was truly a force of destruction.
After the storm passed, the sky above the Underworld Swamp gradually cleared. The dark clouds dispersed, and beams of sunlight pierced through the clouds, showering down on this battered land. The air became incredibly fresh, as if nature itself was celebrating this cleansing.
Although the swamp remained muddy and treacherous, the eerie blood-red hue had faded away, leaving only clear water flowing gently through the muck. Chen Moxuan took a deep breath of fresh air, a satisfied smile spreading across his face.
However, this satisfaction did not last long. Xiao Bai Long suddenly pointed toward the distance in the swamp, her expression tense. "Why is it turning red again?"
Upon hearing this, Chen Moxuan furrowed his brows tightly. He immediately moved swiftly toward the direction Xiao Bai Long indicated. Seeing this, she transformed into a streak of light and carried Chen Moxuan high into the air to overlook the entire swamp.
Below them, they saw that the recently restored clear waters were slowly seeping with blood-colored liquid, like demonic saliva gradually eroding this land. The crimson hue spread rapidly; it seemed that the swamp's waters were about to revert to that heart-stopping blood-red color once more.
Chen Moxuan's expression grew serious as he realized that something must have gone terribly wrong with the seal beneath Underworld Swamp. "Take me there; let’s see what that mysterious figure is planning."
Xiao Bai Long immediately followed the direction pointed out by Chen Moxuan and saw a solitary altar standing on the ground. It was completely unaffected by the weather manipulation technique.
Xiao Bai Long's eyes lit up, and he quickly flew over with Chen Moxuan!
