The battle had exceeded their expectations, becoming increasingly intense and perilous. At that moment, Chen Moxuan swung his arms. In his left hand, he held a small candlestick, from which a flicker of Ling Fire ignited, continuously channeling celestial energy into Chen Moxuan's body.
With a swift motion of his right hand, he suddenly summoned a Treasure. The crowd watched as divine light radiated forth, and the Treasure rapidly enlarged in the air, transforming into a massive lock. The front of the lock was ancient and ornate, its body inscribed with Taikoo Divine Script, seemingly containing boundless power. At its center was a Bright Gem, shimmering with dazzling brilliance, reflecting the chaotic and struggling heart of Jue Chen Wang Ren.
"Tiger Brother, retreat!" Chen Moxuan shouted. Upon hearing this, Tiger Brother immediately soared back, evading the divine light that enveloped the great lock. Seeing this, Chen Moxuan deftly manipulated both the candle and the enormous lock simultaneously.
Suddenly, the lock emitted a powerful glow. In an instant, it sealed off the spiritual energy between heaven and earth, forming a colossal spiritual energy cage. Then, as if possessing its own consciousness, the great lock flew directly towards Jue Chen Wang Ren and hung itself on his chest.
Jue Chen Wang Ren knelt despondently on the ground, his eyes filled with struggle and pain, as if two souls within him were engaged in a fierce clash. The ever-changing visage that had been shifting stopped abruptly upon contact with the great lock; Xin Mo seemed to be awed by the divine power contained within it. The tumultuous colors in his eyes gradually calmed down, replaced by a profound sense of confusion and suffering.
"What is this?" Jue Chen Wang Ren instinctively struggled to break free from the great lock but found it seemingly connected to his very soul, making escape impossible.
"This is Tai Gu Suo Xin Lian; it can bind your spirit and prevent you from committing evil again," Chen Moxuan said softly, fully aware of the power of this Tai Gu Suo Xin Lian. Once bound, unless one possessed the means to unlock it, liberation would be forever out of reach.
Hearing this, a glimmer of relief flickered in Jue Chen Wang Ren's eyes. Observing him closely, Chen Moxuan approached Jue Chen Wang Ren slowly. "Why have you become like this? And why did you come to confront me?"
Jue Chen Wang Ren lowered his head and spoke in a hoarse voice. "I... I am Zhou Wang. Before succumbing to darkness, I was just an ordinary cultivator."
But later, when Xin Mo invaded, I fell into darkness. Xin Mo possesses its own intelligence, often leading me to lose my sense of self, unable to distinguish between good and evil, and frequently causing harm to the innocent without realizing it. Every time I awaken from this state, I feel immense sorrow for what I have done, wishing for death to atone for my actions.
Yet Xin Mo always manages to save me at critical moments, forcing me to continue living in this endless pain. At this point, a glimmer of tears appeared in Jue Chen Wang Ren's eyes as he raised his head and gazed at Chen Moxuan.
Just two days ago, my Xin Mo seemed intent on having me consume the sealed demon within that house to gain even greater power. However, unexpectedly, you had already taken that demon away. I do not know why I am here; all I know is that Xin Mo is driving me, as if it senses something within you that it desires.
Hearing this, Chen Moxuan looked at the Jue Chen Wang Ren before him, who was once Zhou Wang, and felt a twinge of sympathy. Trapped by Xin Mo, unable to break free.
"I might be able to help you," Chen Moxuan said solemnly. "I will take you away from here to a place where the Immortal Emperor often resides. It is a rather special location that may help suppress the Xin Mo within you."
Jue Chen Wang Ren's eyes widened in surprise upon hearing this. "Really? Can you truly help me?" His voice trembled slightly as he seemed to glimpse a ray of hope.
"I believe I can," Chen Moxuan nodded.
After a moment of silence, Jue Chen Wang Ren slowly nodded in agreement. He understood that this might be his only hope. Thus, he stood up, allowing Tai Gu Suo Xin Lian to sway against his chest, and let Chen Moxuan lead him away from this place.
Tiger Brother curiously asked Chen Moxuan, "Why are you saving this person?"
Chen Moxuan glanced back at Jue Chen Wang Ren and replied, "I just feel that this guy is quite unfortunate. Besides, he has lived for tens of thousands of years; he is essentially from the same era as I am. I simply don’t want him to die."
Tiger Brother pondered over this for a moment before falling silent again as he carried everyone back up the mountain.
Finally, they arrived at the foot of the mountain where Chen Moxuan's master practiced. The air was still filled with an ethereal quality, and the scenery was delightful. For Tian Qiong Zi and Qian Zhenren, who were visiting for the first time, it felt like a paradise on earth. The two constantly looked around, seemingly unable to take in enough of the sights.
Chen Moxuan brought Jue Chen Wang Ren to a secluded cave and settled him inside. Once Jue Chen Wang Ren entered the cave, he quickly found himself calming down.
"Actually, I don't know what makes this place different," Chen Moxuan said. "But I do know that every time my master encounters someone trapped by Xin Mo, he brings them here. What I need to tell you is that the only reason you’ve survived this long is because the Human Demon has taken an interest in you, treating you like a toy. Once you truly eliminate your Xin Mo and free yourself from the Human Demon’s interference, your strength will significantly decline. At that point, you might die quickly."
Surprisingly, Jue Chen Wang Ren felt an immense sense of relief. "I can’t think of a better place than here. I would rather die early than wake up one day to find my hands stained with blood and surrounded by corpses—seeing bodies hanging from trees and flesh rotting on the ground. I would willingly accept death."
Chen Moxuan suddenly said, "Then farewell, Zhou Wang." He didn’t know what the future held for Zhou Wang, but he had done all he could. He led everyone out of the cave and with a wave of his hand, a massive door covered in spells slammed shut, locking Zhou Wang inside.
Just as he was about to leave, he noticed someone leaping through the mountains. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was Yun Che! However, what surprised Chen Moxuan was that Yun Che had grown significantly; he was now at least four inches taller than before, surpassing even the small trees on the mountain!
Chen Moxuan was astonished. He looked at Yun Che with disbelief in his eyes. In just a few days, Yun Che had grown so much taller and his strength had skyrocketed to the Houtian Shizhong realm. This made him wonder if it was due to the abundant celestial energy in this place or if Yun Che's body held some special secret.
"Yun Che," he asked, "what have you been doing lately? How did your strength increase so rapidly?"
