The voice did not respond immediately; instead, it fell silent for a moment before slowly speaking.
"If you can help me accomplish one task, I will spare his life and grant him the power to fight against the Asura King."
"What do you want to do?" Chen Moxuan still did not agree.
The Asura God paused briefly. "That damned human has nearly transformed all my kin. I need you to kill them all to ensure the purity of my clan!"
"What will I gain from this?" Chen Moxuan asked.
"A super expert who has awakened Xin Tong, and the Asura Clan will not leave the Abyss for a hundred years."
Chen Moxuan was taken aback. He hadn't expected that the Asura God could actually awaken Xin Tong in a Shura.
After pondering for a moment, his gaze flickered, and Chen Moxuan slowly spoke, "I agree, but if you fail to keep your promise, I will be furious."
The Asura God's voice seemed to carry a hint of satisfaction as it echoed in the cave. "So be it, as you say."
With that declaration, those Shura from the Kuanglan Tribe who had surrounded Che Ma suddenly knelt down as if receiving an invisible command, their demeanor extremely respectful.
They quickly untied the ropes binding Che Ma, carefully laying him down and taking out strange herbs to tend to his wounds.
Che Ma's eyes gradually regained clarity as he stared in astonishment at everything happening around him. It was hard for him to believe that his fate had changed so drastically in an instant.
Meanwhile, after confirming that Che Ma was safe, Chen Moxuan's figure flickered and disappeared into the darkness deep within the cave.
When Che Ma awoke, he immediately sensed something was off—his Soul Devourer was missing.
He sprang to his feet, quickly scanning his surroundings with wide eyes. Although the Kuanglan Tribe's Asura Clan had ceased their bindings and harm towards him, their presence still made him uneasy.
The surroundings were dimly lit, with only a few Rune Stones emitting faint glows that barely illuminated the space.
Che Ma's gaze flickered in the darkness as he tried to read something from the faces of these Kuanglan Tribe Shura; they all bowed their heads in reverence to the massive statue before them.
He began to move slowly, looking around in search of his own belongings.
At that moment, an Old Shura slowly emerged from the shadows of the cave. His face was aged, yet his eyes sparkled with a wise light.
What shocked Che Ma even more was that the Old Shura was holding his Soul Devourer in his hand. Seeing this, Che Ma immediately flickered forward, attempting to snatch it away.
The Old Shura, however, merely smiled slightly and tossed the Soul Devourer gently, allowing it to land steadily on the ground. He glanced down at it and nodded in approval.
Che Ma quickly picked up the Soul Devourer, keeping a wary eye on the Old Shura as he spoke in a deep voice, "Why have you brought me here?"
The Old Shura smiled faintly and countered, "Weren't you planning to come here yourself? We merely lent you a hand."
Upon hearing this, Che Ma felt a chill run through him. He had indeed intended to come to the Kuanglan Tribe in search of answers but had not expected to be brought here in such a manner.
Taking a deep breath, he asked, "What do you want from me?"
The Old Shura did not answer directly but pointed towards the depths of the cave, saying meaningfully, "It’s not about what we want to do to you; rather, what do you wish to obtain? If you seek to know the source of the power within you, then why not go in and take a look?"
Although Che Ma had often been mocked for his frail body in the past, he had never lacked courage within. Without saying another word, he gripped the Soul Devourer tightly and resolutely walked deeper into the cave.
As he ventured further into the cave, the air around him seemed to grow heavier, as if an invisible pressure was bearing down on his nerves. Yet Che Ma did not stop.
In the depths of the cave, a faint beam of light flickered, as if guiding him forward. As he stepped deeper into the cave, the surrounding light dimmed further, leaving only that weak glow like a lighthouse leading him onward.
With each step he took, the heaviness in the air intensified, as if every footfall pressed against an unseen weight. Finally, he reached the source of the light and saw a withered corpse lying quietly on a protruding rock. An ancient and mysterious aura enveloped the area.
Though lifeless, the veins of this desiccated body were remarkably clear, as if preserved by some force intentionally, shimmering with a faint glow. Che Ma's heart stirred; he sensed that this corpse was somehow connected to the power within him.
He took a deep breath, focused his mind, and began to circulate the spiritual energy within his body. As the energy flowed, he was astonished to discover that it could traverse the clear pathways within the corpse, granting him an unprecedented sense of fluidity throughout his being.
At that moment, Che Ma felt a sudden brightness before his eyes as a powerful force surged from within him, shooting up towards the heavens. His eyes underwent a dramatic transformation; the once ordinary gaze now radiated with brilliant light, as if he could perceive all the illusions of the world.
Xin Tong had finally awakened at this moment! Alongside this awakening, Che Ma felt the full force of his own power surging within him. To his delight, he realized that not only had he awakened Xin Tong, but he had also gained its most formidable ability: Mind Devouring.
This ability allowed him to instantly capture the mental fluctuations of nearby beings and even influence or control their minds to a certain extent. What shocked Che Ma even more was that he had also awakened the powerful Dynamic Vision. This vision enabled him to clearly perceive every subtle change in his surroundings; no matter how fast an object moved or how insignificant a detail seemed, nothing escaped his keen sight.
He attempted to wield Soul Devourer, and with each swing, light flashed like lightning, each strike precise as if even the air was being sliced in half. To test his newfound abilities, Che Ma closed his eyes and began to use Mind Devouring to sense the environment around him.
To his amazement, he could clearly see the position and movements of every Asura Clan member within the cave. He could even feel their inner fluctuations and emotions. This perceptual ability far exceeded anything he had previously imagined, granting him what felt like invisible eyes capable of discerning all things in existence.
Then, he opened his eyes and activated his newly awakened Dynamic Vision. His gaze captured everything around him at an astonishing speed. He swung Soul Devourer again; light wove through the air as each strike accurately hit the stones in the cave and sent debris flying into the sky, producing a series of roaring sounds.
