In the school cafeteria, during lunchtime, the atmosphere was bustling with students moving about, plates in hand, laughter and chatter filling the air. However, in one corner of the cafeteria, the mood was particularly tense.
Xiao Haochen strode directly to Mo Feiyu's table, his eyes ablaze with anger, tightly gripping a piece of paper that contained part of the evidence he had gathered against Mo Feiyu for cheating in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practice Competition.
“Mo Feiyu, stand up!” Xiao Haochen's voice was low yet powerful, instantly drawing the attention of those around them.
Mo Feiyu, who had been leisurely enjoying his meal, was startled by the sudden shout. He looked up to see Xiao Haochen standing before him, his face contorted with rage. A pang of anxiety shot through him, but he forced himself to maintain a calm facade.
“Xiao Haochen, what’s wrong with you? Why are you shouting like that?” Mo Feiyu frowned and feigned annoyance.
Xiao Haochen slammed the paper down onto the table. “Stop pretending! This is evidence of your cheating in the competition. Why did you do it?”
Mo Feiyu glanced at the paper and felt a wave of dread wash over him, but he still refused to admit anything. “Don’t talk nonsense! What can this prove? Maybe you forged it yourself to frame me.”
Curious students began to gather around, whispering among themselves.
“What’s going on?”
“It seems like Xiao Haochen and Mo Feiyu are having a conflict.”
Xiao Haochen trembled with rage. “Mo Feiyu, you still won’t admit it? You’re jealous of me, so you resorted to this despicable tactic to frame me. How can you live with yourself?”
Mo Feiyu, furious and embarrassed, suddenly stood up. “Xiao Haochen, don’t go too far! I think you can’t handle losing and are deliberately trying to pick a fight with me.”
The two glared at each other, the atmosphere tense as if they were about to come to blows at any moment.
At that moment, Lin Wanqing happened to walk into the cafeteria. Seeing the scene, she hurried over.
"Haochen, Mo Feiyu, stop arguing! Can't you talk things out?" Lin Wanqing said anxiously, trying to pull the two apart.
Xiao Haochen looked at Lin Wanqing, struggling to suppress his anger. "Wanqing, don't interfere. Today, I’m going to make him clarify everything."
Mo Feiyu seized the opportunity to mock him. "Hmph, Xiao Haochen, you can only show off in front of Lin Wanqing."
This remark completely infuriated Xiao Haochen. He lunged forward and grabbed Mo Feiyu by the collar. "Say that again!"
Mo Feiyu refused to back down, struggling fiercely. "I said you're just a coward. What are you going to do about it?"
Seeing this, the surrounding classmates rushed over to intervene.
"Stop fighting! Stop fighting!"
"Talk it out nicely!"
As the two began to grapple with each other, the head teacher, Teacher Liu, happened to pass by the cafeteria. Upon seeing the chaotic scene, he shouted loudly, "Stop! What are you doing? Is this how you behave? All of you come to my office!"
In the office, Xiao Haochen and Mo Feiyu stood to one side, both with their heads down and breathing heavily. Teacher Liu sat at his desk, his expression grim.
"You two, explain what happened! Fighting in school is completely unacceptable!" Teacher Liu said sternly.
Xiao Haochen was the first to speak up. "Teacher Liu, it was Mo Feiyu who deliberately set me up during the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practice Competition. I confronted him about it today, and not only did he deny it, but he also insulted me."
Mo Feiyu quickly retorted, "Teacher Liu, he's lying! He can't handle losing and is trying to frame me."
Teacher Liu looked at both of them seriously. "I don't care who's right or wrong. Fighting in school is a violation of the rules. I will investigate this matter thoroughly. If anyone is found to have maliciously disrupted the competition, there will be no leniency."
After leaving the office, Xiao Haochen and Mo Feiyu didn't say another word and walked in opposite directions. Xiao Haochen knew he was in a crisis; not only did he have to deal with the conflict with Mo Feiyu, but he also needed to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, Mo Feiyu realized that things had escalated and began to feel uneasy. However, he still held onto a glimmer of hope, thinking that as long as he didn't admit to anything, Xiao Haochen wouldn't be able to do anything against him.
