In a dimly lit room, Mo Feiyu sat alone at the table, tightly gripping a newspaper that featured Xiao Haochen's impressive performance at the International Medical Academic Exchange Conference and the research breakthroughs he had achieved. His eyes were bloodshot as he stared intensely at the photograph of Xiao Haochen, his face filled with jealousy and resentment.
"Hmph, Xiao Haochen, why do you always get to shine so brightly? I will make sure you fall hard," Mo Feiyu muttered through clenched teeth, crumpling the newspaper into a ball and throwing it forcefully onto the floor.
After some deep contemplation, a malicious plan began to form in Mo Feiyu's mind. He decided to exploit some experimental data used by Xiao Haochen in his medical research to frame him for academic fraud.
The next day, Mo Feiyu sought out his dubious friend Zhao Gang. Upon seeing Mo Feiyu's gloomy expression, Zhao Gang couldn't help but ask, "Brother Mo, what's wrong? Have you run into some trouble again?"
Mo Feiyu snorted coldly. "It's that Xiao Haochen again; he's been stealing the spotlight lately. I can't swallow this anger; I want to ruin him."
Zhao Gang looked worried. "Brother Mo, you shouldn't act recklessly. Last time you tried to sabotage the competition, you almost got caught. Don't put yourself in danger this time."
Mo Feiyu scoffed, "What’s there to be afraid of? As long as we do it cleverly, no one will catch on. I've already thought it through; we'll say that Xiao Haochen's experimental data is fabricated and that his research results are completely fake."
Zhao Gang hesitated. "But we have no evidence. If we just claim that, who would believe us?"
Mo Feiyu smirked slyly. "Evidence? We can fabricate it. Just tweak the data a bit and find a few accomplices to testify; no one will doubt us."
Zhao Gang still seemed uncertain. "Isn't this going too far?"
Mo Feiyu shot him a glare. "If you don't want to do it, then get lost and stop getting in my way. I won't let Xiao Haochen off the hook."
Seeing that Mo Feiyu was determined, Zhao Gang reluctantly replied, "Alright then, Brother Mo, I'll go along with your plan."
In the following days, Mo Feiyu and Zhao Gang began searching for so-called "witnesses" and forged some seemingly authentic documents. Once everything was prepared, Mo Feiyu anonymously reported Xiao Haochen to the school and relevant academic institutions.
Soon, Xiao Haochen received a notification from the school requesting his cooperation in an investigation. Upon learning of this, he felt both angry and anxious, but he firmly believed that his research results were genuine and had nothing to fear.
In the school's conference room, Xiao Haochen faced the members of the Investigation Committee with a calm demeanor.
"Xiao Haochen, we have received reports stating that your experimental data has been falsified. What do you have to say about this?" the Chairperson of the Investigation Committee asked sternly.
Xiao Haochen replied resolutely, "Chairperson, I can assure you that my experimental data is authentic and reliable. These results are derived from countless experiments and research; there is absolutely no falsification."
At that moment, Mo Feiyu suddenly stood up. "Xiao Haochen, stop trying to deny it. The evidence is right here; do you still want to plead innocence?"
Xiao Haochen glared at Mo Feiyu in anger. "Mo Feiyu, it's you again! Why are you always targeting me? This is malicious slander!"
Mo Feiyu sneered, "Hmph, I'm just stating the facts. Everyone, take a look at these documents; they are irrefutable proof of your deceit."
The members of the Investigation Committee took the documents and began examining them closely. As Xiao Haochen looked at the forged files, he felt a surge of anxiety but fought to remain composed.
"Chairperson, these documents are fabricated. I can provide original experimental records and data, as well as related experimental videos to prove my innocence," Xiao Haochen stated.
The Chairperson of the Investigation Committee nodded. "Alright, Xiao Haochen. We will verify this evidence. Please cooperate with our work until the investigation results are released."
After leaving the conference room, Xiao Haochen realized he had once again fallen into a crisis. However, he did not back down; he resolved to uncover the truth and bring Mo Feiyu's conspiracy to ruin.
