"Brother? Do you think you deserve that title?" Liu Ru Yan had never seen someone so eager to dig their own grave. A group of people listening to the beautiful woman's words grew displeased. "Hey, how dare you speak like that? Do you even know who my brother is?" One of the men, angered by her words, stepped forward. Liu Ru Yan looked at him with disdain. "And who are you?" She was genuinely curious; what kind of person was trying to play the 'my dad is someone important' card? 'He wouldn't say, "My dad is Wang Yang," would he?' Lan Ruo Yi also heard this and instinctively made a sarcastic remark, not expecting to align with Liu Ru Yan's thoughts. 'Looks like we're on the same page!' The young man wanted to respond but noticed the two women’s gazes were now fixed on him, making him uneasy, though he didn’t think too much of it.
"You don’t even know me? If you go out and ask around about Wang Yang, you'll find out who I am!" Liu Ru Yan laughed. "Do you know who we are?" Hearing her question, the three boys in front hesitated, unsure if they had just hit a wall, but their confidence held strong like a resilient wall as they stubbornly asked, "Who are you?"
"My name is Hu Tu Tu. I’m three years old. My dad is Hu Ying Jun, my mom is Zhang Xiao Li, and I live in Room 1001 of Building 2 in Fan Dou Garden. My mom makes the best fried meatballs! My cat's name is Xiao Guai; it's a talking cat! Xiao Guai and Tu Tu are both boys. My best friend is Xiao Mei. I have big ears that can do amazing things..."
Lan Ruo Yi chimed in, "There’s a kid named Xiao Du who goes out to buy vinegar and cloth; he bought cloth and vinegar, then turned around and saw an eagle catching a rabbit..."
The three boys momentarily looked dazed at this absurd exchange. It was at that moment that Liu Ru Yan stepped forward and grabbed one of them, twisting his wrist to subdue him. The other two were stunned, clearly not expecting someone with martial skills among them; they were frightened yet tried to act tough. "You... let him go! Are you crazy?"
"Oh, crazy? Let me see what kind of crazy you're talking about." Liu Ru Yan kicked the boy in the knee, forcing him to kneel down. Lan Ruo Yi then witnessed a one-sided beating unfold before her eyes.
In the car, Liu Yuchuan and Mo Daowan sat frozen in silence as if under a spell. Doubts began to creep into Liu Yuchuan's mind about whether his teachings were correct, but when his gaze swept over those attempting to cause trouble, he felt resolute that this was how it should be. Meanwhile, those following Liu Ru Yan instinctively clasped their legs together like startled birds, trembling as they trailed behind her, as if any misstep could lead them into an abyss.
"No one mentioned this girl could fight," said a man with a scarred face, sounding like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
"Didn’t you hear? Someone did mention it," replied another man wearing glasses with an annoyed tone.
"Wow, she’s quite fierce."
"Should we still go for it?" Some were beginning to hesitate.
Scarface gritted his teeth. "We must take them back." The bespectacled man remained silent, but his eyes conveyed agreement.
As the beating gradually ceased, Liu Da excitedly let out a series of yelps. Liu Yuchuan asked irritably, "What’s wrong?"
Liu Da was so thrilled he spoke without thinking: "That girl is so cool! I want to have her babies!"
Mo Daowan's expression darkened while Liu Yuchuan laughed in disbelief. "Have babies? What are you talking about!" He had no idea his subordinate harbored such thoughts.
Before anyone could react in the car, Scarface and his group rushed toward Liu Ru Yan and her companions. Just a second ago, Liu Ru Yan was teaching those three a lesson; now she pulled Lan Ruo Yi behind her and faced Scarface head-on.
"Are you here to play with your brothers?" Liu Ru Yan instinctively assumed they were just here for fun; however, Lan Ruo Yi sensed something was off—the aura surrounding these men was too menacing.
"Little girl, don’t be so nervous; our boss just wants to invite you for a chat," said the bespectacled man as he emerged from behind the crowd with an eerie smile plastered across his face.
"Is this how your boss invites people? If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were here to commit murder!" Lan Ruo Yi retorted boldly. Recognizing that resolving this situation would take time, she decided to stall for more moments; she trusted that Liu Ru Yan would have a plan.
Liu Ru Yan indeed felt confident but needed just a bit more time; both girls shared an unspoken understanding as they worked together seamlessly.
"Hehe, little girl, you're quite amusing! What could we possibly want from you?" The bespectacled man found their banter ridiculous; although he didn’t see anything worth coveting about them, since he was being paid for this job, he had to follow through.
"Enough talk! Just take them!" Scarface urged impatiently; there was no point in dragging this out—he wanted to wrap things up quickly with a simple exchange of money for goods. Why was this bespectacled guy still chatting?
